Patent number: 9865301Abstract: A method of forming a recording head for use with a data storage medium in a data storage device. The method includes forming first and second writers of different target geometries. A first recording measurement is performed on one or more storage media using the first writer. A second recording measurement is performed on the one or more storage media using the second writer. Based on a comparison of the first and second recording measurements to a predetermined quantity, either the first writer or the second writer is selected to be operational in the data storage device.Type: GrantFiled: January 15, 2016Date of Patent: January 9, 2018Assignee: Seagate Technology LLCInventors: Kurt Wiesen, Javier Guzman, Joseph Mundenar, Michael Conover

Publication number: 20170291810Abstract: The invention pertains to upholstery techniques for upholstering the central bust line of mannequins. Particularly a shaping body is coupled to the central line of the upholstery and shaped to conform to the central bust line of an underlying mannequin form. The shaping body includes anchors, preferably, in the form of strings, which can be fed through the mannequin form and tensioned accordingly. The shaping body is preferably elongate with two identical body members coupled by a fold therebetween. The first body member is coupled to a first side of the central bust line seam of the upholstering covering and the second body member is coupled to the second side of the central bust line seam of the upholstering covering. The fold therebetween is shaped to conform to the shape of the central bust line of the mannequin form. The use of such a shaping body results in a natural convex curve of the central bust line.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 8, 2016Publication date: October 12, 2017Applicant: SEVEN CONTINENTS CORP.Inventors: Julio JAVIER GUZMAN, Iana Bashura

Patent number: 9675941Abstract: The present invention relates to the synthesis of linear aromatic polyimides and the production of membranes for the separation of gases. Specifically, polyimides featuring in their chemical structure, in the part derived from a diamine, 4-fluoro-4?,4?-diaminotriphenylmethane, and an aromatic dianhydride derived from tetracarboxylic acid. Polyimides are soluble in amidic solvents such as N,N?-dimethylformamide, N,N?-dimethylacetamide, N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone, etc., which are processed as dense membranes by controlled evaporation of the solvent. Publication number: 20150072904Abstract: Emulsions usable within a wellbore as drilling fluids can be prepared by adding an internal phase to an external phase to form an emulsion base, and adding solid organophilizated mineral structures, a matrix stabilizing agent, a weighting agent, and a secondary stabilizer to the emulsion base. The solid organophilizated mineral structures stabilize the emulsion base and affect the rheology thereof, and the matrix stabilizing agent and the secondary stabilizer can retain the stability and viscosity of the emulsion base in the presence of hydrophilic solids. In addition to use as a wellbore fluid independently, usable emulsions can be compatible with and combined with traditional emulsions to form a mixture usable within a wellbore a drilling fluid.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 9, 2013Publication date: March 12, 2015Applicants: Prime Eco Research and Development, LLCInventors: Orlando D'elia, Fernando Javier Guzman
