Abstract: The traffic light control system comprises a plurality of traffic light control signal devices, an emergency vehicle, and a broadcast communication signal. The traffic light control system provides the emergency vehicle privileged access through a traffic intersection that is controlled by one or more individual traffic light control signal devices selected from the plurality of traffic light control signal devices. The emergency vehicle transmits a broadcast communication signal to each of the plurality of traffic light control signal devices. Each individual traffic light control signal generates a traffic control signal that halts all traffic through a controlled traffic intersection when the span of the calculated distance to the emergency vehicle is less than a previously determined initiation distance.
