It makes use of the SAP/SDP protocols as a logic link between “classic” DVB services (satellite, terrestrial, cable) and IP services. The invention allows providing TV services relying on existing Internet architecture. Simulation means are provided, in the MHP middleware, for building an Event Information Table upon the SDP messages. Specific preview information is added to the SDP messages so that they can be linked to a DVB service.
