  • Patent number: 5531526
Abstract: The cartridge includes a case with two sections and a connection portion interconnecting the sections and capable of containing in a chamber a rolling bearing including an outer ring which has a bearing surface and a raceway, an inner ring which has a bearing surface and a raceway and rolling members. The case has a support region which is located on the connection portion and is adapted to receive the outer bearing surface. A collar is placed in the chamber and has an end portion coming into contact with the inner bearing surface of the inner ring.

  • Patent number: 5413417
Abstract: The bearing, intended to be interposed between a shaft with a median neck bordered by two ends, one of which is capped by a sleeve capable of sliding axially, and a support, includes an inner race, an outer race, a retaining ring, rolling members and a cage. At least one edge of the cage is provided with a resting element. The neck includes an abutment element such as a ramp to normally to hold the case axially fixed. Axial sliding of the cage is enabled after deformation of the resting element when the sleeve encounters particularly the cage.

  • Patent number: 5263780
Abstract: The rolling bearing comprises a ring (30) made in two relatively axially movable ring parts (31,32) and another ring or shaft (40) between which rolling elements (20) travel, and an elastically yieldable device (50) cooperative with a housing and one of said ring parts and capable of being placed in a first state corresponding to an inactive prestress and a second state corresponding to an active prestress. This elastically yieldable device (50) comprises a support (51) in the form of a split washer (5100), a detent mechanism (521) with at least two projecting lugs (5212) and an elastomeric collar-shaped element (53).

  • Patent number: 5020925
Abstract: This bearing comprises an external piece (10) with a cylindrical housing (11), a hollow insert sleeve (20) with a circular external wall (21) and a curvilinear triangular internal wall (22), an internal piece (30) with a circular external seating (31) and rolling elements (40) interposed between sleeve and seating. The sleeve is a relatively thin and, for example, press-formed bush, with non-constant thickness, engaged under force in the housing in such a way that the external piece (10) alone exerts a prestress.Application to systems in which it is necessary to obtain a bearing effect without the slightest radial play without it being necessary to effect an adjustment, such as an automobile suspension with trailing arms for example.

  • Patent number: 4913564
Abstract: The rolling bearing comprises a housing (10), rolling elements (20), at least one ring (30) in two ring parts (31, 32) freely mounted one inside the other and defining raceways (231, 232) on which roll the rolling elements, and an elastically yieldable prestressing device (50). This device is adjustable between two states, namely a first state in which an elastically yieldable member (53) exerts relatively no prestress for permitting the assembly and a second state in which the elastically yieldable member (3) exerts the prestress for normal operation of the bearing. Application in the case where the other ring (40) is a shaft carrying another raceway (240) along which the rolling elements roll.

  • Patent number: 4708498
Abstract: A roller bearing assembly having an outer case (1) which contains an elastically yieldable sleeve 2 in which is enclosed a thin elastically yieldable ring 3 whose inner surface acts as a raceway for rollers or needles (6) carried by the cage (7). The elastic ring has a plurality of angularly spaced apart regions discontinuities (4a, 4b) defining pre-stressed regions adapted to ensure, by a radial deformation, a localized gripping of the rollers or needles under the action of the sleeve when the roller bearing assembly is mounted on a shaft (8). The outer case (1), the sleeve (2), the roller bearing ring (3) and the cage (7) have an openable structure which permit their spreading being apart to an open for ensuring the mounting of the roller bearing assembly by a lateral engagement of its component parts on the shaft without ends of insertion thereon from either each of the shaft.

  • Patent number: 4655618
Abstract: A needle bearing, and in particular a needle sleeve, comprising an outer ring (1) in which are mounted needles (2) contained in a cage (3), sealing means being provided at the ends of the outer ring, wherein said sealing means comprise a sealing element (11) of an elastomer having a sleeve (12) adapted to receive by a tight fit the inner element (4) of the bearing, and peripheral sealing lips (13, 14, 15) cooperative with the axial surfaces of a flange (5) having an axial ledge (6, 7, 8, 10) of the outer ring in which the sealing element (11) is disposed, an axial inner portion (10) of the flange constituting an abutment for the axial relative displacements of the outer ring (1) and the inner element (4) of the bearing.
