    Abstract: An intensely colored transparent and/or translucent paper has chroma c and brightness L, as measured by a Hunterlab instrument, which measures the Cartesian coordinates a, b, L of a point P of color and its polar coordinates H and c. The paper is such that the ratio of c to L is higher than 30%, preferably higher than 50%. The paper contains a colorant in the stock, preferably 5 to 10% by weight of liquid coloring agent in relation to the weight of the finished paper. The colorant is a coloring agent which fixes directly in the cellulose. The paper is suitable for printing and/or writing.
