  • Publication number: 20240005793
Abstract: Performing parking policy enforcement using a mobile device includes presenting a set of street-and-zone pairs, each street-and-zone pair identifying a street and a zone within which at least a portion of the street is located, the street and the zone, in combination, being associated with one or more parking rules. A street-and-zone pair is selected corresponding to a location of a subject vehicle. The license plate number is transmitted to a remote parking enforcement system. Parking rights of the subject vehicle are determined based on the license plate number. It is determined whether the subject vehicle is in violation of parking rules associated with the street and the zone, in combination, of the selected street-and-zone pair based on the parking rights of the subject vehicle. A violation indication is presented indicating whether the subject vehicle is in violation of the parking rules associated with the selected street-and-zone pair.

  • Publication number: 20230410646
Abstract: Provided is a technology that allows, inter alia, two different patrol-vehicles to be used to enforce parking regulations. Unique systems and methods, inter alia, allow a patrol vehicle or the like to collect parking data pertaining to parked vehicles, and to wirelessly transmit such parking data to a server. A later patrol vehicle or the like can wirelessly receive parking data related to parking events related to its parking enforcement situation and determine whether parking violations, such as overtime or permit sharing violations, are occurring using a combination of parking data generated locally and extraneous parking data collected by the previous patrol vehicle.

  • Patent number: 11720868
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for carrying out a payment transaction on a bank terminal using an electronic payment device, where the device contains at least two payment applications. The method includes a step of data communication from the device to the terminal during a transaction, which data contains at least information of a first type identifying each payment application of the device; and a step of configuring the device so that the data provides information of a first type relative to at least one disabled payment application. The invention likewise relates to the corresponding system.
