  • Patent number: 11314085
Abstract: A viewing devices includes an optical assembly comprising a display, an optical system forming of this display an image at infinity and a light guide for expanding a pupil in two spatial directions. The guide comprises three planar mirrors and two semi-reflective plates, the optical axis of the optical assembly being inclined with respect to the surface of the first planar mirror by an angle different from zero and strictly smaller than 90 degrees, the light beams output from the optical assembly propagating inside the light guide via successive reflections from the planar mirrors and the semi-reflective plates, the transmission of the light beams output from the optical assembly to outside of the light guide occurring via successive transmissions by the second semi-reflective plate.

  • Patent number: 11061370
Abstract: Viewing systems are provided which include a screen and an optical collimation device including two holographic optical elements working by reflection, the first holographic optical element being closer to the screen, the second holographic optical element being closer to an observer. In the system, the screen displays a first object at a first wavelength and a second object at a second wavelength. Each holographic optical element includes two holographic treatments, each treatment being able to reflect one of the two wavelengths and to transmit the other wavelength. The first holographic element and the second holographic element are arranged such that the image of the first object forms at a first distance from the screen and that the image of the second object forms at a second distance from the screen, different from the first distance.

  • Patent number: 9411161
Abstract: The general field of the invention is that of display systems comprising an image projector and an associated display screen, the said display system being designed to be used by an observer situated at a given location, the said display screen comprising two transparent and substantially parallel faces, the said display screen comprising, on at least one of its transparent faces, a plurality of regularly distributed light-scattering patterns. The image projector according to the invention illuminating the screen under a plurality of angles of incidence determined by the position and the size of the display screen, the said angles of incidence being centered on a mean angle of incidence, the scattering patterns comprise at least one scattering surface oriented in such a manner as to diffuse the light rays having at least the mean angle of incidence in one or more directions corresponding to the said given location of the observer. Several embodiments are described.
