  • Patent number: 8516841
Abstract: A heating and air conditioning device 20 for an automotive vehicle, including a refrigerant circuit 4 in which a refrigerant circulates between three distinctive units 6, 10, 14 exchanging with respective secondary liquid loops 8, 12, 16. An evaporating unit 6 is dedicated to the evaporation of the refrigerant when operating in a cooling mode. A cooling unit 10 is dedicated to the cooling or condensation of the refrigerant when operating in the cooling mode as well as operating in the heating mode. A reversible unit 14 is dedicated to the evaporation of the refrigerant when operating in the heating mode and dedicated to the cooling or condensation of the refrigerant when operating in the cooling mode.

  • Patent number: 8122943
Abstract: Heat exchanger, for example for a motor vehicle air-conditioning circuit, comprising a plurality of tubes (12) for circulating a heat-transfer fluid, the ends of said tubes (12) opening into manifolds and reservoirs (11) of thermal storage material in contact with the tubes (12) so that the storage material and the heat-transfer fluid exchange heat with one another. The exchanger comprises a plurality of heat-exchange elements (4) each housing at least one reservoir (11) and at least one tube (12) which are nested.

  • Publication number: 20090314023
Abstract: The invention relates to a heating, ventilating and/or air conditioning system with a main air conditioning loop (10) for a refrigerant including at least one compressor (11), a condenser (12), an expansion device (13) and an evaporator (14), a cold storage heat exchanger (21) suitable for storing cold during operation of the compressor (11), and a secondary air-conditioning loop (20a) comprising the cold storage heat exchanger (21). The secondary air-conditioning loop (20a) is suitable to cool the evaporator (14) when the compressor (11) is out of operation. The secondary air-conditioning loop (20a) includes a fluid circulation branch disposed in parallel with a main air conditioning loop (10) common section including at least the evaporator (14). The fluid circulation branch contains a cold production element (21) able to cool the refrigerant toward the evaporator. The invention is particularly dedicated to heating, ventilating and/or air conditioning systems in “Stop and Start” cars.

  • Patent number: 5007251
Abstract: Installation for air-conditioning by absorption, having a high-pressure enclosure 1 containing a heater heated to high temperature, in which a refrigerating fluid is driven by vaporation to form a gaseous refrigerant, and a condenser on which the refrigerating fluid is liquified; a low-pressure enclosure 2 containing an evaporator on which the liquified refrigerant is vaporized for producing a desired cold and an absorber on which the gaseous refrigerant is re-absorbed in the depleted solution before being returned to the heater via a pump; the high-pressure enclosure 1 and the low-pressure enclosure 2 each having a generally toric-shaped casing with a common vertical axis, said high-pressure enclosure 1 being located above said low-pressure enclosure 2; a high-pressure and a low-pressure central free space in each enclosure, the high-pressure central free space in the high-pressure enclosure is de-limited by central cylindrical wall 1a, and the low-pressure central free space in the low-pressure enclosure is
