  • Patent number: 11665840
Abstract: A server information handling system couples to a rack and is secured with a security device coupled to one side of the information handling system housing clear of the front side of the information handling system so that the entire front side of the housing is available for venting and/or interface devices like a power switch and ports. The security device has a latch that moves vertically in response to an outward and upward pull on a lever engaged with the latch. The latch secures and releases the housing to the server rack, such as at the rail holding the housing in the rack, and releases a pin from a slot of a bezel that covers a front face of the server information handling system. The pin moves vertically in a channel of the latch and is biased to a locked position so that insertion of the server bezel onto the housing will lock the bezel with the pin while the lever remains in a locked position.

  • Publication number: 20220240409
Abstract: Cable channel apparatus are provided that may be employed for routing system cables through open spaces defined within chassis walls, barriers or other fixed surfaces that separate different compartments or areas of an information handling system chassis. The cable channel apparatus may form a seal around the inserted system cables that prevents recirculation of cooling air through the open spaces between the different compartments. In one example, the cable channel apparatus may be employed to form such a seal around system cables that are routed through an open space to pass though or around a fan gantry that is mounted within a chassis of an information handling system chassis.

  • Patent number: 11388837
Abstract: A server information handling system may include a processor; a network interface device (NID); a power source; a vertical backplane for providing electrical and data coupling to a plurality of hard disk drives (HDDs) operatively coupled to the vertical back plane; a plurality of vent holes formed through the vertical backplane; and an acoustic dampening device including a duct extension protruding away from the plurality of vent holes formed through the vertical backplane; the duct extensions to acoustically separate a fan system of the server information handling system from the plurality of HDDs within the information handling system server by mitigation of acoustic energy transmission generated by airflow through the plurality of vent holes.

  • Patent number: 11227575
Abstract: An air-cooled enclosure of an information handling system has a chassis that receives at least one heat-generating functional component. An air mover is positioned within the chassis to move air within the chassis to convectively cool the at least one heat-generating functional component. An acoustic resonator includes a resonator body having a cavity sized to resonate at an acoustic frequency corresponding to a selected acoustic noise frequency, such as blade passage frequency, associated with the fan. The resonator body has an opening to the cavity that is directed toward and positioned a distance from the fan to receive and attenuate acoustic noise.
