Patent number: 11169286Abstract: A set of N standard bin count distributions may be generated by irradiating a test radiation detector system with an X-ray beam attenuated by a respective one of N different K-edge filters for each of the at least one X-ray source energy setting. Energy bins of detectors of a target radiation detector system may be calibrated by generating measured bin count distributions for each calibration setting in which a respective one of the N different K-edge filters attenuates a source X-ray beam. Calibration parameters of the detectors of the target radiation detector system may be adjusted to match each of the measured bin count distributions to a corresponding standard bin count distribution. In addition, energy resolution of the radiation detectors can be measured and calibrated by fitting a portion of the measured X-ray spectrum near a K-edge to a fitting function.Type: GrantFiled: October 9, 2018Date of Patent: November 9, 2021Assignee: REDLEN TECHNOLOGIES, INC.Inventors: Elmaddin Guliyev, Georgios Prekas, Michael Rozler, Krzysztof Iniewski, Jean Marcoux, Conny Hansson

Patent number: 5448210Abstract: A tunable microwave bandstop filter device comprises a main microwave transmission line (1), at least one filter cell comprising a coupled line segment (4) coupled to the main transmission line (1) and arranged parallel to and remotely from the latter, and also a tunable LC resonant circuit (5, 6). According to the invention, the tunable LC resonant circuit (5, 6) is placed between one of the ends of the line segment (4) and the main microwave transmission line (1).Type: GrantFiled: March 1, 1993Date of Patent: September 5, 1995Assignee: Dassault ElectroniqueInventor: Jean Marcoux

Patent number: 4619191Abstract: An apparatus for heating or cooling sealed food pouches, another apparatus for moving the same and a third apparatus adapted to transfer the pouches are disclosed. The three apparatuses are designed to function as an integrated food pouch handling system, but may also be used separately. The first apparatus consists of a large bath partially filled with circulating hot or cold liquid, following a course in which whirlpools are created. The food pouches are placed in the bath and are carried by the moving liquid until they have attained the desired temperature. The second apparatus consists of a conveyor mounted on a cart. The conveyor is tiltable so that one end thereof can be placed in the bath to automatically retrieve the food pouches. The third apparatus is a large vat to receive the food pouches placed therein by the conveyor.Type: GrantFiled: October 22, 1984Date of Patent: October 28, 1986Inventors: Gerard Dumas, Jean A. Patent number: 4186357Abstract: A stripline non-reciprocal multi-octave phase shifter which consists of a matched dielectric slab located along the first ferrite slab edge which corresponds to the magnetic wall and of lumped loads placed along the propagation direction along the same edge of the second ferrite slab. The other edge of the slabs are associated with identical composite media terminated by a lump impedance which consists of a short-circuit between the three conductors in the preferred embodiment of the invention. A high permittivity dielectric slab near the other edge of each of the ferrite slabs is preferably part of said composite media.Type: GrantFiled: March 9, 1978Date of Patent: January 29, 1980Assignee: Societe Lignes Telegraphiques et TelephoniquesInventors: Gerard Forterre, Jean Marcoux

Patent number: 4152677Abstract: In a surface wave isolator consisting of two gyromagnetic slabs a conductive strip between said slabs, means to establish a magnetizing field within said slabs, a two part load is associated side by side with said slabs and the strip extends also between the two parts of the load. A first part of the load is a continuous load parallel to the strip, a second part of the load is a plurality of localized absorbing means placed along the propagation axis and parallel to said strip. The impedance of the localized absorbing means is matched to the impedance of an unwanted parasitic propagation mode at the corresponding place.Type: GrantFiled: July 26, 1978Date of Patent: May 1, 1979Assignee: Societe Lignes Telegraphiques et TelephoniquesInventors: Bernard Chiron, Gerard Forterre, Jean Marcoux
