Abstract: The present invention furnishes a method for producing mineral wool wherein a molten mineral material is fed into a spinner (1) the peripheral wall (2) of which comprises a multiplicity of orifices with small diameters wherethrough the mineral molten material is centrifuged to form filaments which are subjected to a supplementary attenuating effect of a gas flow flowing along and heating the peripheral wall (2) of the spinner (1) and generated by a concentric annular burner (8) arranged concentrically to the spinner (1), and wherein the exit area of the burner (8) is subdivided into an annular radially inner hot zone and an annular radially outer cooling zone of substantially lower temperature; the invention moreover concerns an apparatus for implementing the method.

Abstract: A modular cabinet including a plurality of battery modules each which can be withdrawn from the cabinet. The frame has a parallelipipedic-shaped metal framework, including a plinth of rectangular cross-section parallel to the different shelves, roller devices fixed to the base of the plinth to provide movement of the module in the depthwise direction between an inserted position and a withdrawn position, a first vertical front flange extending perpendicularly to the plinth, a second rear flange parallel to the first flange and shelves interposed in the depthwise between the flanges. A closed side plate connects the two flanges and the plinth, and a transverse free space is provided between the batteries and the open side face opposite the side plate. Movement of the module in translation to the withdrawn position enables all the batteries to be fully accessed via the open side face.

Abstract: The static converter of the invention comprises a central processor (15) measuring the output voltage (TM3), the output current (TM4), the rectifier current (S) and the reverse bias time (8) of the thyristors of the switch (5). From this information it drives, through interfaces (17, 18, 20) the starting thyristors (6) comprising a series resonating circuit intitiating the oscillations of the parallel resonant load circuit (2,3).
