    Abstract: A syringe pump is disclosed having a transducer for detecting the force on the syringe pusher. The detected force is translated into a pressure which is continuously displayed so that the user can anticipate the occurrence of an occlusion. The syringe pump also has a device for pre-selecting a range of acceptable pressures.
