  • Patent number: 10213276
Abstract: In order to select the ultrasonic wave power and amplitude range that matches an ultrasonic tip (130) for mounting on a surgical handpiece (120), the tip (130) includes a cavity (131) forming a housing for an identifier element (140). The identifier element is made of an elastic material presenting a melting temperature higher than 130° C. enabling it to withstand both vibration and sterilization temperatures. The identifier element (140) presents a color or a pattern corresponding to the ultrasonic wave power and amplitude range appropriate for use with the tip.

  • Patent number: 9820826
Abstract: The invention provides an ultrasonic tip in titanium for ultrasonic instrument, and further provides a method of dental treatment of peri-implantitis using an ultrasonic tip operable to cooperate with an ultrasonic instrument to transmit ultrasonic vibrations to a surface of a dental implant to be treated, said implant and said ultrasonic tip being made of titanium. The present invention guarantees a safe and complete debridement of most implants for the dental treatment of peri-implantitis, and for the maintenance of the implant surface after such a treatment. Designed in pure titanium, like most dental implant in the market, the tip of the present invention advantageously avoids the transfer of material on the implant and the alteration of the surface, thereby preventing the risk of bacterial recontamination.

  • Patent number: 9421072
Abstract: A vibratory instrument includes a tool releasably mounted on a tool carrier designed to be coupled with a vibration generator device. The tool includes in succession along a longitudinal axis: a working portion presenting a free end for reproducing the vibration transmitted by the vibration generator device; a coupling portion; and an elastically-deformable attachment portion disposed upstream from the coupling portion. The tool carrier includes in succession along a longitudinal axis: a housing receiving the attachment portion of the tool; and a coupling bearing surrounding the coupling portion of the tool, at least in part. The attachment portion of the tool presents outside dimensions that are adapted relative to the inside dimensions of the housing of the tool carrier to prevent contact between the attachment portion and the housing when the coupling portion of the tool is in contact with the coupling bearing of the tool carrier.

  • Patent number: 6480986
Abstract: A method for extracting the capacitance value associated with a PN junction along the well-substrate interface for use in modeling the substrate. The method includes receiving the 2-D or 1-D mesh doping profile. The method includes finding a junction curve or transition region that represents the transition between the well and the substrate bulk. The method further includes finding a set of parameters &agr;,&bgr; and &ggr; to characterize the junction at a point or a vertical discretization along the transition. During modeling, the set of parameters &agr;, &bgr; and &ggr; is then employed, along with the input bias voltage value, to calculate the thickness of the depletion region, which is in turn employed to calculate the capacitance for the well-substrate junction. The capacitance calculated is then employed to more accurately model the junction, which leads to a more accurate model for the substrate.
