  • Patent number: 10412979
Abstract: A system for the heat treatment of industrial quantities of food or pharmaceutical articles. The system includes an oblong enclosure that is sealed and can be pressurized and having a median longitudinal axis and an inlet for the injection of a heat transfer fluid, an inlet door for the insertion of articles, a support for the articles, which support can be arranged along the median longitudinal axis, such that the articles are placed inside a central space in the enclosure, a defined lateral space being provided between the enclosure and the central space. The enclosure includes an agitation means for agitating the heat transfer fluid, which means is arranged laterally in relation to the central space, in the lateral space located between the enclosure and the central space, to allow the circulation of the heat transfer fluid in a longitudinal direction parallel to the median longitudinal axis.

  • Patent number: 8277754
Abstract: The purpose of the present invention is to propose a reliable, economically viable autoclave that also allows rapid heat treatment of food or pharmaceutical products in industrial quantities. To this end, the subject of the invention is a system for shaking items, inside a device under pressure, comprising a chamber (100) equipped with a heating means (110) and with a pressurizing means (115), and a storage basket (200) for the items (P) coupled to a translational shaking means (300, 310-320-330-340), wherein the basket (200) is slidably mounted on a chassis (400) exhibiting a platform (410) supported by support columns (420) passing through the chamber (100) in a fluidtight and decoupled manner and intended to be secured to an immovable support (600).

  • Patent number: 6626087
Abstract: The proposed installation comprises a plurality of carriages which pass in succession from a product loading station (3) to a product unloading station (15) in succession via an inlet lock (10), a sterilizing tunnel (11), a transfer lock (12), a cooling tunnel (13), and an outlet lock (14). The superheated water of the sterilizing tunnel (11) and the cooling water of the cooling tunnel (13) are maintained at a pressure P1 greater than the pressure that exists inside the packages contained in the carriages during sterilization. The sterilizing tunnel (11) and the cooling tunnel (13) preferably constitute an assembly having an even number of superposed segments, with the carriages being caused to travel along the tunnels by linear magnetic couplers. The installation is adapted to sterilizing products contained in flexible packages.

  • Patent number: 5770169
Abstract: The invention relates to a rotary drum structure for a sterilizer. The structure includes: four beams (30, 32, 34, 36) disposed parallel to said axis and defining a rectangular parallelepiped volume; a plurality of spacer elements (52, 54, 56) disposed in the four faces defining said parallelepiped volume and forming triangulated structures; a second end part (60) fixed to second ends of the beams to define an inlet opening (64) into said drum; and a circular running path (62).

  • Patent number: 5437846
Abstract: The invention relates to a system for supporting objects inside a rotating drum, particularly in a sterilizer. The drum disposed in the enclosure rotates about the axis XX'. The supporting apparatus includes pressure plates, the displacements of which are controlled by pairs of levers disposed in the lateral parts of the drum, on either side of the stacks of objects. The levers pivot about pins under the action of controlling apparatus which may be actuators.

  • Patent number: 5381726
Abstract: A holder for objects inside a rotating drum, particularly that of a sterilizer. The holder includes a pressure plate which can be brought into position for holding the objects by a motor-driven mechanism. This mechanism has a rod with threaded portions interacting with sleeves. These sleeves control the movement of pairs of link arms which are rigidly fixed to the pressure plate and are in contact with the drum wall.
