  • Patent number: 5839261
Abstract: A mower including a cutting mechanism, a hitch structure, a carrying beam, and an operating device. The operating device makes it possible to bring the cutting mechanism at least into the work position and into the windrowing position. This operating device includes an operating member connected, among other things, to the cutting mechanism which includes a first lever, a second lever connected to the carrying beam and to said first lever, and a latch intended to stop the upward pivoting of the cutting mechanism when bringing into the windrowing position, and an operating element connected to said operating member and to the hitch structure.

  • Patent number: 5727371
Abstract: The invention includes a stop (33) which prevents movement of the part (23) of the protection device (18) into the non-operating position when the cutting mechanism (2) is located in the work position (A), and which allows movement when the cutting mechanism (2) is located in a different position (B), the activation of the stop (33) being accomplished automatically by means of an activation element (35) when the cutting mechanism (2) is brought from the other position (B) into the work position (A). The invention also includes a limiting element (52) for limiting the amount of pivoting between a support arm (5) and the cutting mechanism (2) in work position (A) and preventing pivoting when the cutting mechanism (2) is in the other position (B).

  • Patent number: 5660032
Abstract: An agricultural machine has a fixed structure, a retractable assembly connected to the fixed structure by at least one joint such that said retractable assembly can move to at least one locking position, and a locking mechanism. The locking mechanism includes (i) at least one stop element mounted for movement with one of the fixed structure and retractable assembly and cooperable with the other of the fixed structure and the retractable assembly to lock the retractable assembly in one locking position; (ii) at least one elastic element cooperating with the at least one stop element to bias the at least one stop element into a stop element lock position in cooperation with the other of the fixed structure and the retractable assembly so as to lock the retractable assembly in the locking position. The stop element is enclosed in the stop lock position such that the stop element can be moved from the said stop lock position only by a special tool.

  • Patent number: 5107662
Abstract: A mower having a frame that supports, by means of connecting elements, a cutting element equipped with cutting tools. A rotary drum extends in part at least above the rotary cutting element. A device for driving the rotary cutting element and or the rotary drum, and at least a part of the connecting elements penetrate inside the rotary drum by passing through its upper part. On the upper part of said rotary drum there is mounted a plurality of rotary push-back blades.

  • Patent number: 4974399
Abstract: Hinged connection (16) forms a connection element (17) connected to hitching element (9) by a first joint (20) and to support beam (14) by a second joint (21). Connection element (15) and connection element (17) form with hitching element (9) and support beam (14) a deformable quadrilateral (22) making it possible, for transport, to move the mowing group (2) toward median vertical plane (62) of the tractor (8).

  • Patent number: 4903468
Abstract: A mower-conditioner includes mowing elements for cutting hay and throwing the hay in a backward direction relative to a work direction, conditioning rollers mounted on lateral walls behind the mowing elements, and deflectors positioned at least partially in the path of the thrown hay. The deflectors are mounted adjacent the lateral walls. Each deflector includes an upright planar portion and a front portion. The planar portion is backwardly inclined away from a corresponding lateral wall so as to form a first angle with respect to the axes of the rollers. The planar portion is also angled by an acute second angle with respect to a vertical plane parallel to the first angle such that an upper part of the planar portion is closer to the corresponding lateral wall than is a lower part of the planar portion. The front portio is rounded about an upwardly directed axis and extends outwardly away from the other of the reflectors.
