  • Patent number: 5082414
Abstract: An extraction device for extracting a material in particulate form from a reservoir includes an extraction member in the form of a helicoidal winding connected to a motor for driving it in rotation about its central axis. The helicoidal winding is driven so as to sweep it about an axis of sweep along the bottom of the reservoir and the winding may be curved at its distal end so as to sweep along the periphery of the reservoir. The winding may be enclosed within a tubular conduit and a section of the peripheral wall of the reservoir may be provided to cooperate with the helical winding.

  • Patent number: 4160514
Abstract: A device for unloading silos of divided material such as flour includes a rotary shaft on which axially spaced, radial members are carried. The members support flexible elongate elements which have a length no greater than the distance between the outer edges of the radial members and the walls of the silo.Rotation of the shaft causes the material to be fluidized and to pass down and out the silo without preventing simultaneous filling of the silo. The outlet from the silo is at its bottom end and discharge is achieved by helical elements which may be driven by the same motor as the rotary shaft.

  • Patent number: 4106119
Abstract: This invention relates to eye-shades, particularly those for use in practicing certain sports where it is necessary to concentrate the wearer's vision upon an object e.g. a target.According to the invention, an eye-shade comprises a substantially flat brow member, a temple member depending from each lateral portion of said brow member and a head-encompassing member interconnecting said temple members. The brow member extends outwardly in a substantially horizontal attitude above the wearer's eyes in the position of use with the temple members assuming a substantially vertical attitude: the brow member and the temple members between them define a field of vision within the three faces constituted by the said members: means are provided to hold said temple members in position against the wearer's temples.Conveniently, the head encompassing member is in the form of a head band which in itself constitutes said means for holding said temple members against the wearer's temples.
