  • Patent number: 4819393
Abstract: A device for anchoring one end of at least one tensioned cable or bar, in particular for a prestressed concrete structure, comprises an anchoring head having at least one conical bore through which the cable or bar is passed, and a set of conical keys located within the bore for clamping the cable or bar therein. A sleeve is attached to the cable or bar at a distance from the largest end face of the conical keys, preferably by drawing. A spacer tube is placed around the cable or bar between the conical keys and the sleeve. The spacer tube cooperates with the sleeve in order to maintain the keys within the conical bore and in order to prevent any relative displacement between the cable or bar and the conical keys in the direction of slackening of these latter.

  • Patent number: 4636110
Abstract: A sliding shuttering machine for constructing continuously reinforced concrete roadways or pavements, comprising a main frame provided with transversely spaced ground engaging members allowing it to move over the ground, two lateral shutterings spaced apart transversely and extending longitudinally between the ground engaging members, a main extrusion plate extending transversely between the lateral shutterings and forming therewith a tunnel shaped sliding shuttering for extruding a mass of concrete and molding same into a thick pavement as the machine moves forward, adjustment means mounted between said main frame and said main extrusion plate for adjusting the vertical position thereof with respect to the ground and, consequently, the thickness of the concrete pavement to a desired value, an additional extrusion plate which extends transversely between the lateral shutterings and which is situated at a distance in front of said main extrusion plate and at a height with respect to the ground which is less th

  • Patent number: 4590763
Abstract: A method of supplying a normally continuous operating hydraulic actuator with hydraulic fluid, continuously and by controlled pulse, comprising the steps of supplying a chamber of an actuator and, simultaneously, storing an hydraulic energy in an accumulator from a pressurized fluid source, as long as the pressure in the chamber remains less than a chosen value, isolating the accumulator from the source when the pressure in the chamber reaches a chosen value, connecting the chamber to a reservoir, then isolating the chamber from the reservoir, then causing the accumulator to communicate with the chamber, isolating the chamber from the accumulator and re-establishing the communication between the source, on the one hand, and the chamber and the accumulator, on the other, and maintaining them in this state as long as the pressure in the chamber does not again reach said chosen value.

  • Patent number: 4560424
Abstract: A process for forming a prestressed anchorage by drawing a steel sleeve over a metal core of elongate shape having a substantially round section, consisting in using a sleeve having an inner diameter substantially equal to the outer diameter of the metal core, in forming a grooved portion or indentations in the inner cylindrical surface of the sleeve, in subjecting the inner cylindrical surface of the sleeve and its grooving to surface heat treatment adapted to increase the hardness thereof and to give thereto a value greater than that of the metal core, by causing the tempering depth to increase from one end to the other of the sleeve and in anchoring the sleeve on the metal core, in a way known per se, by drawing the sleeve through a draw-plate.
