  • Patent number: 10390971
Abstract: A cylinder head, an element and a base plate of a longitudinal piston engine having a cylinder head body and a base plate comprising at least one element, the base plate being interposed between a combustion chamber and the cylinder head body, comprising an upper face facing the cylinder head body and an opposing lower face arranged to face the combustion chamber and being attached to the cylinder head body, the cylinder head body being made from a material with a mass density and hardness that are less than those of the material constituting the base plate. The base plate and the body are assembled by screws for fastening the base plate to the cylinder head that are located towards the periphery of the base plate and of the body and by at least one part for fastening the cylinder head to the base plate including a threaded end designed to be engaged in a corresponding orifice of the base plate, said orifice being located closer to the center of the base plate than the fastening screws.

  • Patent number: 5664527
Abstract: A pneumatic valve recoil system includes a piston that is unitary with the stem of a valve and which slides in a cylinder, such that the piston, valve stem, and cylinder cooperate to form a chamber containing a compressible fluid. The chamber is connected through a single calibration port to an oil-evacuation and fluid-pressure-regulating system located outside the cylinder head of the engine.

  • Patent number: 4471616
Abstract: In a device for regulating the air supply of an internal combustion engine supercharged by a turbo-compressor unit driven in rotation by the engine's exhaust, the intake of the rotating compressor is controlled by an intake regulation (or gating) system capable of reducing the compressive effect of the rotor of the compressor. Control elements of said regulation (or gating) system are connected with the accelerator linkage so as to close the regulation (or gating) system and reduce the compressive effect to the maximum degree when the accelerator moves toward the idling position of the engine.

  • Patent number: 4350128
Abstract: A fuel flow regulation device for a supercharged engine of the type having an injection pump whose piston's bottom position is determined by a moving stop, is disclosed. The fuel flow regulation device consists of a tridimensional cam contacting the stop and movable in an axial and a rotational direction. The axial movement of the cam is provided by a piston rod connected to a pair of pistons, one of which has a smaller diameter than the other by a predetermined amount, in which the pistons are oppositely subjected to engine intake pressure and engine exhaust pressure. The rotational movement of the cam is controlled by a jack subject to the output of a volumetric hydraulic pump actuated by the engine and pumping fluid from the engine cooling system.
