  • Publication number: 20070163754
Abstract: The invention relates to an improved thermosiphon and to a method for transferring heat. The thermosiphon has a higher efficiency than existing thermosiphons because it does not rely on a pool-boiling evaporator but rather uses a forced-convection boiling evaporator. The inlet of the evaporator is located in its upper portion and is in fluid communication with a condenser. The fluid in its liquid phase enters the evaporator from its inlet in its upper portion and, by gravity, flows down the piping network of the evaporator, clinging on the inner surface of the tubes of the piping network. As the liquid flows down, it evaporates such that the fluid at the bottom of the evaporator is predominantly in a gaseous phase. The fluid in gaseous phase is then returned to the condenser.

  • Publication number: 20070129814
Abstract: The present invention relates to a generic industrial controller that is easily configurable for different applications. By combining the power supply and by using standard connectors, the controller assembly fits nicely in a convenient economical standard electrical box. The industrial controller uses harnesses between its input port and sensors and between its output ports and controlled device to be controlled. The invention also relates to a method for providing a generic industrial controller that may be used in different applications to control different controlled device by providing different instruction sets and different harnesses. Another aspect of the invention relates to a set of industrial controllers being identical except for their instruction sets and harnesses.

  • Publication number: 20060286917
Abstract: An exhaust control system for a spray booth having at least one fan motor. The exhaust control system comprises a spraying activity detector and a speed control circuit for an electrical motor. The speed control circuit is connected to the fan motor and is linked to the detector so as to adjust the speed of the motor in a variable manner as a function of at least the spraying activity. A method for controlling an exhaust system of a spray booth having at least one fan motor comprising the steps of detecting a spraying activity and, upon detection of the spraying activity, increasing an air volume exhaust rate of the exhaust system.
