  • Publication number: 20040141285
Abstract: An assembly of passive backplane modules that allows a variety of active boards of the same or of different architectures to be used in the same chassis. This technology differs from any others in that it presents a second level of modularity, in addition of the usual one which is putting active boards in a passive backplane. Here, in addition, several backplane modules of different types allow different architectures to be used on a slot by slot basis. Furthermore, wiring requirements to link those backplane modules are reduced to a strict minimum.

  • Patent number: 4974803
Abstract: There is described a holder for mounting along a horizontal support which enables a receptacle to be connected thereto. The holder comprises a rectangular member having outwardly projecting flanges along the lateral edges thereof, the first plate member hinged to the rectangular member and a second plate member hinged to the second plate member. Additionally, there is a base plate at the bottom of the rectangular member. The first plate member projects inwardly from the rectangular member while the base plate projects outwardly thereof. The second plate member can be attached to the rectangular plate such as by means of a plurality of elongated members, each having a plurality of engageable balls formed therealong. Slots are provided in the plate member to receive the strand and balls which can be adjustably mounted along the sleeve when mounting the holder on the horizontal support. Sliders are associated with the receptacle to be engaged by the flanges so as to connect the receptacle to the holder.

  • Patent number: 4276668
Abstract: The device includes a rigid stay-bar which is bent so as to reproduce approximately the shape of the forward part of the boat, at least one of the ends of which is connected to a torsion-bar fixed onto the grating and arranged transversely with respect to the boat. The bent central portion of the stay-bar rests against a rigid bearing surface integral with the forward portion of the boat. The stay-bar ensures the holding in position of the forward portion of the boat due to the elastic force exerted by the torsion-bar, which opposes the forces exerted by the waves to lift the forward portion of the boat.
