Patent number: 7758237Abstract: A balance spring-collet assembly for a timepiece movement comprises a collet (1) and a balance spring (3) attached at its inner end to the collet (1). The collet (1) is capable of being mounted onto a shaft (2). The external periphery of the collet (1) defines abutments (10a, 10b, 10c) against which the inner turn of the balance spring (3) may come to rest during a shock before the elastic limit of the inner turn is exceeded. The abutments (10a, 10b, 10c) are situated at respective distances (Ra, Rb, Rc) from the center (O) of the shaft (2) that increase in the direction (D) of the balance spring (3) from the inside to the outside starting at the point (8) of junction between the balance spring (3) and the collet (1).Type: GrantFiled: April 26, 2007Date of Patent: July 20, 2010Assignee: Patek Philippe SA GeneveInventors: Jean-Pierre Musy, Frédéric Maier, Stéphane Von Gunten

Patent number: 7344302Abstract: A regulating device including a balance (1) and a plane hairspring (2) for a time piece movement, the plane hairspring (2) including a stiffened portion (8) in its outer turn (7) that is arranged to cause the deformations of the turns to be substantially concentric. The spacing (d) between a terminal portion of the outer turn (7) and the last-but-one turn (9) of the hairspring (2) is large enough for said last-but-one turn (9) to remain free radially during expansions of the hairspring (2) up to amplitudes corresponding substantially to the maximum angle of rotation of the balance (1) in the movement.Type: GrantFiled: April 21, 2004Date of Patent: March 18, 2008Assignee: Patek, Philippe SAInventors: Jean-Pierre Musy, Frédéric Maier, Michel Belot

Patent number: 6041022Abstract: A mechanical-electric energy converter comprising a wheel for transmitting energy which rotates at a low speed. The teeth of the driving wheel shift the rotor of the generator from its position of equilibrium, causing it to oscillate around the wheel. This converter can produce high angular velocities without a speed-increasing gear train.Type: GrantFiled: June 15, 1999Date of Patent: March 21, 2000Assignee: Patek Philippe S.A.Inventors: Mai Xuan Tu, Michel Schwab, Jean-Pierre Musy

Patent number: 4459032Abstract: A thin electronic wrist-watch the thickness of which is constituted by the uperposition of a first crystal, at least two time indicating discs and a case back, the latter including a second crystal. The gears are supported on specially designed studs and means are provided to limit axial gear play.Type: GrantFiled: January 22, 1981Date of Patent: July 10, 1984Assignee: Societe Suisse pour I'Industrie Horlogere Management Services S.A.Inventor: Jean-Pierre Musy

Patent number: 4407586Abstract: An electronic wrist-watch of greatly reduced thickness has extremely thin me indicating discs for which a special driving and guiding system is employed. Further, a single-phase motor is provided with at least two stator windings for reducing the watch's thickness. A watch case comprises an integral case band in order to assure greater rigidity of this thin watch structure.Type: GrantFiled: August 27, 1980Date of Patent: October 4, 1983Assignee: Societe Suisse pour l'Industrie Horlogere Management Services S.A.Inventor: Jean-Pierre Musy

Patent number: 4159715Abstract: An apparatus for personal hygiene which includes a reservoir for containing liquid to be applied to selected parts of the body is provided with a dispenser containing a dentifrice to be dispensed therefrom upon demand. The dispenser is adapted to be housed in the bottom part of the casing of the apparatus. The dispenser is provided with a dentifrice container closed at the bottom by a flexible membrane and with an intermediate wall located above this membrane defining upper and lower container compartments. The intermediate wall includes an opening which permits communication between the two compartments. A closure finger attached to the membrane opposite the opening in the intermediate wall is adapted to be shifted between positions at which it is spaced from the opening and also disposed within the opening. In this manner, pressure applied to the membrane causes the closure finger to enter the opening and permits a measured quantity of the dentifrice to be taken off from the lower compartment.Type: GrantFiled: December 19, 1977Date of Patent: July 3, 1979Assignee: Les Produits Associes LPA S.A.Inventors: Philippe G. E. Woog, Michel A. Moret, Pierre-Jean Jousson, Jean-Pierre Musy

Patent number: 3952736Abstract: A hand-operated appliance for body care by means of an intermittent liquid jet, in particular for massaging the gums and for cleaning the teeth, has a liquid pump which comprises a working chamber connected to an outlet fitted with a spray nozzle, a piston reciprocated therein by an electric motor, an inlet chamber connected to an inlet pipe fed from a liquid reservoir, and an inlet valve located in the connecting aperture between the inlet chamber and working chamber. The inlet valve is biased towards the open position by a spring the force of which is less than the pressure exerted during the working stroke of the piston and tending to close the valve. The liquid reservoir is connected by the inlet chamber of the pump to an ascending pipe acting as an air-vent pipe which is arranged vertically, is open at the top and is branched from the inlet chamber.Type: GrantFiled: December 19, 1974Date of Patent: April 27, 1976Assignee: 4 P LimitedInventors: Michel Antoine Moret, Pierre-Jean Jousson, Jean-Pierre Musy
