  • Patent number: 9827206
Abstract: A method is provided for producing an adhesive material (1) for a medical application such as a dressing. The method includes at least one step for coating a first surface (2b) of any substrate (4), called receiving substrate, using a layer of previously coated silicone on an anti-adherent liner (3). The silicone layer is an adhesive gel (2). The method further includes, prior to the coating step, a corona treatment step for the surface of the adhesive silicone gel that is intended to coat the receiving substrate (4).
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 24, 2013
Date of Patent: November 28, 2017
    Assignee: ZODIAC COATING
Inventors: Melanie Guillermin, Jean-Roger Guillo, Jean-Francois Lecoeuvre
  • Patent number: 9603747
Abstract: An adhesive tape (1) made of silicone is intended for medical applications. The tape (1) has a sheet material (12) based on nonwoven fibers, coated on an internal face (12a) intended to be in contact with the skin, with a barrier membrane (14) which adheres to the sheet material, based on crosslinked silicone polymer, and with a layer (16) of atraumatic and biocompatible silicone adhesive gel, and on an external face (12b), with a layer (18) of a nonstick and waterproof polymer based on a fluorosilicone or fluorocarbon polymer.
    Type: Grant

  • Publication number: 20130053806
Abstract: A composite material for use in a medical device, such as a dressing, has an absorbent foam layer and a textile support layer having openings. A silicone-based gel impregnates the textile support without filling the openings in the support. The composite material is made by coating a textile structure with a silicone pre-polymer solution, depositing a polyurethane-based absorbent on one face of the coated textile structure and polymerizing the prepolymer solution.

  • Publication number: 20130053746
Abstract: A composite material is provided that includes an open knitted textile support including at least one area free of stitches and/or in which the stitch density is at least five times less than in the rest of the support and a silicone impregnating the support. A method of fabrication of the composite material also is provided, and a medical device including the composite material.
