  • Publication number: 20110100236
Abstract: A round baler is provided for producing bales. The baler has a bale-forming chamber, at least one roller that is driven and that defines a part of an extent of the bale-forming chamber and that is mounted on a moving holder. Continuous, flexible bale forming means are driven and define another part of the extent of the bale-forming chamber. The bale forming means contact a first rotating body and a second rotating body, of which the first rotating body is mounted on the holder. It is proposed that the second rotating body is coupled with the holder with respect to motion by a drive connection, so that both move together with the growing bale.

  • Patent number: 7805912
Abstract: A wrapping means tensioning device is provided for a round baler and comprises an idler assembly and an application assembly. Wrapping means, like net, when drawn during a wrapping cycle acts onto the idler assembly, which in turn will press an application element of the application assembly against a roll, on which wrapping means is stored. This provides for proper tension during a wrapping cycle without the need for springs or the like, the force of which would need to be overcome, when a wrapping device is brought into a non-operative loading mode.

  • Patent number: 7681382
Abstract: An agricultural baler is provided having an adjusting arrangement between a tow bar and a frame, that maintains the spatial relationships existing in the baler constant so that there is no effect upon the flow of the crop. The use of a sensor and a positioning arrangement provides the assurance that the repositioning is not dependent upon the capability of an operator, and finally the arrangement of the sensor in the region of the take-up device sees to it that the signals are transmitted at the exact time, not too soon and not too late.

  • Patent number: 7584594
Abstract: A press is provided with a feed channel, whose feed channel wall, in the event of overload, can be pivoted away from a feed rotor. The pivotal motion of the feed channel wall is realized about an upstream bearing, which, by means of a link, is itself moved away from the feed rotor in an upright guide. The motion within the guide is derived from the pivot motion of the feed channel wall away from the feed rotor. A hydraulic cylinder, working against a spring defined by an accumulator, is coupled to a downstream end of the channel wall and resists movement of the channel wall away from the feed rotor, but yields under a preselected crop load.
