  • Patent number: 8737367
Abstract: In one aspect, a data network is provided. The data network includes a first user and a second user, a central device, data and a spontaneous communication connection. The first and second users are each ad hoc capable. The central device provides a distribution of data such that data is transmitted from the central device to the first user. The spontaneous communication connection is established between the first and second users and the data is transmitted directly from the first user to the second user via the spontaneous communication connection.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 22, 2005
Date of Patent: May 27, 2014
Assignee: Siemens Enterprise Communications GmbH & Co. KG
    Inventor: Jean-Yves Bitterlich
  • Patent number: 8291115
Abstract: In one aspect, software or configuration data that is to be distributed is subdivided into data blocks and a list created based on the data blocks created. Users receive the list and a portion of the data blocks. The users form ad hoc networks or P2P connections among themselves. The connections allow the data blocks to be exchanged randomly.

  • Patent number: 8280358
Abstract: A user leaving an ad-hoc network is detected and a corresponding sequence of commands are executed independently of surrounding conditions. A user who joins the network transmits an execute-on-leave script to one or several users. The execute-on-leave script includes the commands that have to be executed when the user leaves the network, to ensure that the script is executed even when the device is no longer a network user.

  • Patent number: 8190998
Abstract: A method for generating an object processing platform between an object computer and a processing computer, where an ad hoc assembly of screens is performed by the object computer with the processing computer in order to couple their input and/or output device. The invention includes generating an object processing platform between an object computer and a processing computer. An ad hoc screen assembly is performed by the object computer with the processing computer in order to couple their input and/or output device with at least one display.

  • Publication number: 20070217588
Abstract: Distribution of software and configuration data is provided in data networks with a plurality of subscribers in a temporally defined manner. The software or data to be distributed is subdivided into data blocks and a corresponding list is generated. A first data block and the list are sent from a control centre to a first subscriber. Once a pre-determined length of time has passed following the reception of the list, the subscriber demands the missing data blocks from the control centre. The missing data blocks are then sent from the control centre to the subscriber such that the subscriber has a complete set of data blocks and can start an installation.
