The top and/or bottom layers form highly flexible tabs that extend beyond the absorbent mat and allow the cleaning fabric to be easily attached and removed from a cleaning tool having fasteners. The multilayer cleaning fabrics are well suited for wiping wet surfaces and/or cleaning surfaces with soap and water or other liquid cleaners.
