  • Publication number: 20150099239
Abstract: An endosseous implant for an implantation in a periodontal tissue made of a sintered ceramic material. The first surface of the implant is configured to be implanted in an alveolar bone tissue. The first surface texture has patterns of recessed alveolar cavities with a closed outline whose average width lies between 8 ?m and 15 ?m and a surface finish lying between 1 ?m and 3 ?m. The second surface of the implant is configured to be implanted in a cortical bone tissue. The second surface texture has a pattern of recessed alveolar cavities with a closed outline whose width lies between 1.5 ?m and 5 ?m and a surface finish lying between 0.1 ?m and 0.5 ?m. The first and second textures replicate surface texture of tissues similar to the implantation alveolar bone tissue and implantation cortical bone tissue, respectively.

  • Publication number: 20130304136
Abstract: The invention relates to a screw, particularly for attaching a superstructure to an intra-osseous implant. The extends along a longitudinal axis and comprises a head and a thread. The head comprises a bearing surface configured to cooperate with a bearing surface of the superstructure to hold the superstructure in position. The thread is configured to engage with a tapping to tighten the bearing surfaces of the superstructure and the screw. Between the bearing surface and the thread, the screw comprises a safety portion. The safety portion comprises a driving shape and a frangible section at the connection between the safety portion and the head of the screw, so that the driving shape remains attached to the thread if the frangible section breaks.

  • Publication number: 20130011811
Abstract: An endosseous implant, in particular for an implantation in a periodontal tissue, the implant: a) being made of a sintered ceramic material; b) including a surface capable of being implanted in a recipient tissue; and c) the surface including a raised texture analogous to the texture of the surface of the recipient tissue. An advantageous method for manufacturing such an implant is disclosed.
