Abstract: A mobile communication terminal for removing noise in a transmitting signal and a method thereof are provided. The mobile communication terminal includes a first microphone for capturing a voice signal to be transmitted a second microphone attached to a position different from the first microphone to capture sound signals, an amplifier for amplifying the sound signals of the second microphone, a codec for separately converting the amplified sound signals of the second microphone and the voice signal of the first microphone to digital sound data, and a controller for analyzing the converted digital sound data and controlling a gain of the first microphone if a repeated pattern is detected in either of the separated digital sound data. Herein, noise generated in sound signals for transmission in a phone call is removed by using two microphones.

An interactive recording medium reproducing apparatus reproduces A/V data recorded on an interactive recording medium such as an interactive DVD in conjunction with contents data provided by a contents providing server using navigation information for the contents data also provided by the contents providing server, thereby allowing synchronized reproduction of data from different sources.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for battery power management are disclosed utilizing Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI) of a dual band dual mode terminal, that includes a mobile communication unit; a portable Internet unit for transmitting/receiving a portable Internet signal; a battery measuring unit for measuring remaining battery capacity; a power supply unit for supplying power from the battery to the mobile communication unit and portable Internet unit; and a controller for deriving remaining run times of the mobile communication and portable internet units using consumption current according to the RSSI of the mobile communication and portable Internet units when the remaining battery capacity falls below a set value, and for controlling power supply of the power supply unit based on the derived remaining run times.

Abstract: A method for controlling playback of data recorded on an enhanced navigation medium is provided. The method comprises initializing at least a first playback engine of an enhanced navigation device, when an enhanced navigation mode is selected; entering a first playback state for at least the first playback engine, when an enhanced navigation engine preloads navigation information; and controlling media playback operations, in response to user interaction with a user interface of the enhanced navigation device; wherein the enhanced navigation engine controls a plurality of playback states based on the user interaction with a plurality of user interfaces of the enhanced navigation device.
