The method further includes associating the receiver with a keypad comprising at least one button. The method further includes associating the at least one button of the associated keypad with a function based on received data indicative of a keypad configuration. The method further includes receiving data, via the receiver, indicative of a button on the keypad being pressed. The method further includes communicating data representative of a function associated with the pressed button to a computer program application.
