Patents by Inventor JEFF DALLAS

JEFF DALLAS has filed for patents to protect the following inventions. This listing includes patent applications that are pending as well as patents that have already been granted by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).

  • Patent number: 10256548
Abstract: A reconfigurable holographic antenna includes a metamaterial layer and a waveguide with at least one ridge. The metamaterial layer includes an array of tunable slots configurable to form holographic diffraction patterns. A reactance of each tunable slot in the array of tunable slots is individually tunable. The at least one ridge influences coupling between tunable slots in the array of tunable slots. The holographic diffraction patterns formed by the array of tunable slots generate a desired antenna wave in response to a received feed wave.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: January 30, 2015
Date of Patent: April 9, 2019
    Assignee: KYMETA CORPORATION
Inventors: Ryan A. Stevenson, Jeff Dallas, Adam Bily, Mike Slota, Mark LaCombe, Nathan Kundtz
  • Patent number: 10135148
Abstract: A reconfigurable holographic antenna includes a waveguide and a metamaterial layer. The metamaterial layer includes an array of tunable slots. In one embodiment, the array of tunable slots is configurable to generate holographic diffraction pattern(s) to steer received communication signals.

  • Patent number: 10090599
Abstract: Surface scattering antennas provide adjustable radiation fields by adjustably coupling scattering elements along a wave-propagating structure. In some approaches, the scattering elements are patch elements. In some approaches, the scattering elements are made adjustable by disposing an electrically adjustable material, such as a liquid crystal, in proximity to the scattering elements. Methods and systems provide control and adjustment of surface scattering antennas for various applications.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: June 3, 2016
Date of Patent: October 2, 2018
Inventors: Adam Bily, Jeff Dallas, Russell J. Hannigan, Nathan Kundtz, David R. Nash, Ryan Allan Stevenson
