  • Publication number: 20190344564
Abstract: A marking system includes a valve body including an orifice plate including multiple orifices and multiple micro-valves. Each micro-valve includes an actuating beam movable from a closed position in which a corresponding one of the orifices is sealed by a portion of the actuating beam such that the micro-valve is closed, into a peak position in response to application of a control signal. A controller is configured to generate a control signal for each of the actuating beams, each control signal including a drive pulse having a predetermined voltage such that the actuating beam moves from the closed position into the peak position in which the corresponding orifice is open and returns to the closed position in a characteristic period, wherein the drive pulse has a duration that substantially corresponds to the characteristic period such that the actuating beam is in the closed position after the drive pulse is complete.

  • Publication number: 20180261250
Abstract: A system and method that time delays a playback from a first feed at a first time to a second feed at a second time. The method includes recording the first feed that is received at the first time to be used at least partially as a playback of the second feed at the second time. The second time has a predetermined delay relative to the first time. The method includes determining whether the first feed has a discrepancy in the actual playback from a desired playback. The discrepancy is at a known time and lasting a known time amount. The method includes transmitting the playback to the second feed after the predetermined delay. A fix is aired instead of the playback for the known time amount corresponding to the discrepancy.

  • Publication number: 20170162178
Abstract: Provided herein is technology for displaying, reposition, and/or formatting graphics on a display. The technology includes receiving a graphics stream in a first playout format that includes a first display resolution and first display layout. The technology also includes determining a second playout format that includes a second display resolution and a second display layout. The technology further determines an area of importance within the first display layout given the first display layout, second display resolution, and second display layout. A preferred position within the second display layout is determined so that the preferred position is a location in the second display layout that is in a relatively similar location as the area of importance in the first display layout. The first playout format is converted into the second playout format using the area of importance and preferred position. Finally, the graphics stream is displayed in the second playout format.

  • Publication number: 20160093330
Abstract: A system that includes at least two time delayed playback (TDP) devices for recording and playback. Each of the two TDP devices may perform a method that includes recording a first feed to be used at least partially as a playback of a second feed, determining whether a failure results in a missed feed portion from the recording of the first feed, the missed feed portion being at a known time and lasting a known time amount. When there is a failure, the method includes providing a backup recording corresponding to the missed feed portion from the other TDP device that is recording the first feed in parallel with the first TDP device and transmitting the playback of the second feed including the backup recording at the known time and lasting the known time amount.

  • Publication number: 20150029264
Abstract: A multi-color printer has an array of monochrome fixed inkjet printheads aligned in a media feed direction. The printer includes: a first printhead positioned furthest upstream relative to the media feed direction; a second printhead positioned furthest downstream relative to the media feed direction; and a third printhead positioned between the first and second printheads. Each printhead is supplied with a respective ink from a multi-color ink set, the first printhead being supplied with a lowest luminance ink of the ink set and the third printhead being supplied with a highest luminance ink of the ink set.

  • Publication number: 20120296572
Abstract: A system for predicting the amount of VOCs in an extruded product includes a container holding a gaseous sample, a detector in communication with the container for analyzing the gaseous sample, and a processor in communication with the detector and programmed to analyze the data from the detector and predict the amount of VOCs in an extruded product. A method of predicting an amount of extractable volatile organic compounds in an extruded product includes delivering a sample of gas from an intermediate stage in an extrusion process to a detector, analyzing the sample of gas using the detector to obtain data about the amount of VOCs in the sample of gas, delivering the data to a processor, comparing the data to control data to generate comparison data, and predicting the amount of extractable VOCs in the extruded product.
