Abstract: Acoustophoretic devices for separating particles from a non-flowing host fluid are disclosed. The devices include a substantially acoustically transparent container and a separation unit, with the container being placed within the separation unit. An ultrasonic transducer in the separation unit creates a planar or multi-dimensional acoustic standing wave within the container, trapping particles disposed within the non-flowing fluid and causing them to coalesce or agglomerate, then separate due to buoyancy or gravity forces.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a trailer loading ramp with a trailer ramp platform and a ramp platform that may include hydraulic cylinders to move between loading and hauling positions. The trailer ramp platform and ramp platform may allow for ease of loading by providing access from the ground surface when the trailer loading ramp is in the loading position and may retract to avoid the ground when in the hauling position.

Abstract: A docking station is configured to receive media in the form of audio and/or video from a portable entertainment device. The docking station transmits the received media to a remote playing device via a wired, wireless, or powerline connection. The media may include a control signal associated with the audio and/or video to control the remote playing device. In certain embodiments, the remote playing device transmits control signals to the docking station to control the portable entertainment device. In certain embodiments, the docking station electrically charges the portable entertainment device.

Abstract: Systems and methods for automatic purchasing, reserving and/or provisioning of a wavelength bandwidth block are disclosed. A user may access a web page, such as an interactive web-portal, to provide bandwidth data and corresponding ordering information for reserving a particular amount of bandwidth capacity on a telecommunications network. Subsequently, the customer's may access and the bandwidth blocks to increase/decrease and/or activate/deactivate portions of the reserved bandwidth capacity as needed.

Abstract: A door retainage apparatus reversibly prevents closure of a track guided overhead door having a plurality of rollers. The apparatus includes a stopper formed to extend into, and retract from, the door track thereby permitting motion of at least one of the plurality of rollers in a first direction and preventing motion in a second direction, and an actuator for biasing the stopper such that the stopper retracts from an engaged position to an unengaged position as at least one of the plurality of rollers passes the stopper and then extends back to the engaged position. At least one stopper guide controls the motion of the stopper during transition from the engaged position to the unengaged position. A release device is adapted to selectively change the position of the stopper from the engaged position to the unengaged position.

Abstract: A computer based message encryption system for transmitting encrypted message between a sending member of an internal messaging system and a receiving non-member or receiving member external user without requiring the sender or recipient member to maintain and support encryption key pairs themselves. An internal system that contains an external server for creating key pairs for message encryption between the senders and receives for the encryption of messages. The key pairs are encrypted themselves according to an encryption pass-phrase so that the pass-phrase may used to decrypt the key pair which in turn may be used to decrypt the message. In response to a predetermined time or destroy command, said encryption key pairs are destroyed.
