  • Patent number: 9903575
Abstract: Described are embodiments of driver brackets having dividers that separate low voltage wires from high voltage wires within a driver enclosure so as to reduce the risk of high and low voltage wires coming into contact within the driver enclosure. Also described are embodiments of driver brackets that support a driver entirely on one side of the driver bracket.

  • Patent number: 7845829
Abstract: An enclosure for an LED circuit board is manufactured from a flame resistant material and includes LED apertures through which LEDs mounted on an LED circuit board may pass. The enclosure is designed to be positioned on the LED circuit board so that, when so positioned, the LEDs extend at least partially through the LED apertures in the enclosure. When the enclosure is positioned on the board, portions of its lower surface contact the upper surface of the board. Various fixation/retention methods may be used to retain the enclosure in position relative to the circuit board. It is preferable that such methods allow for the separation of the enclosure from the board.

  • Publication number: 20100085751
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide enclosures for light sources, such as, but not limited to, LEDs, and their circuitry that obviate the need for separate enclosures. The light sources and their circuitry are mounted on a support structure that serves as a heat sink and protected from the environment by a flame resistant and partially transparent protective cover. Multiple such enclosures may be used in a light fixture.

  • Publication number: 20070217196
Abstract: The invention relates to a lighting system that comprises a substantially environmentally sealable housing. The lighting system comprises a luminaire that is electrically connected to a power source via at least one electrical conductor at an electrical junction point. In one aspect, the lighting system further comprises a conduit through which the housing is in fluid communication with the electrical junction point.

  • Publication number: 20070211454
Abstract: Devices and methods for externally accessing and adjusting a lighting fixture optic and adjusting a lighting fixture enclosure on its base. Embodiments provide a lighting fixture enclosure with an opening at the top that both receives a removable screw for securing the top and, when the screw is removed, allows insertion of a tool to rotate a reflector and thereby adjust the rotational direction of the light. Such a reflector may be movably coupled to an inside surface of the fixture top while being secured to a bracket. A tool inserted through the opening at the top of the fixture may engage an aperture in the bracket such that as the tool is rotated, the bracket and secured reflector also rotate.

  • Patent number: 5171946
Abstract: A detecting device is disclosed for detecting undesired movement of a shaft such as a wrist pin relative to a bearing such as a wrist pin bearing. The detecting device includes a housing a rod pivotally mounted to the housing, and at least one detecting switch mounted on the housing adjacent the rod. A pointed end portion of the rod engages the shaft. The rod pivots when a point on the longitudinal axis of the shaft moves from a central axis of the bearing. As a consequence, a portion of the rod located adjacent to the detecting switch is pivoted from its normally centered position to an off-center position and actuates the detecting switch.
