  • Patent number: 8818755
Abstract: Various embodiments are directed to systems and methods for measuring a thickness of a container. For example, a control device may receive data indicating a surface topology of the container and based on the surface topology of the container, instruct a multi-axis positioning system to position a sensor relative to a first point of the container such that: a distance from the sensor to a surface at the first point is about equal to a predetermined distance; and the sensor direction is about normal to the surface at the first point. Data indicating the thickness at the first point may be received from the sensor.

Date of Patent: August 26, 2014
    Assignee: AGR International, Inc.
Inventors: Georg V. Wolfe, William E. Schmidt, Jeffery A. Peterson, Edward J. Fisher

  • Publication number: 20070145019
Abstract: A thermal processing system includes a thermal torch for processing a workpiece, a power supply for providing power to the thermal torch, a positioning system for relatively moving the thermal torch and the workpiece, a controller for controlling the thermal processing system, and a deterministic-based communication network, such as, for example, a network which operates using SERCOS. The deterministic-based communications network connects at least the controller, the power supply, and the positioning system of the thermal processing system together.

  • Publication number: 20050256039
Abstract: The present invention relates to compositions and methods of treatment of various conditions, including but are not limited to, stroke, wound healing, and joint diseases (e.g., osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis). More particularly, the present invention relates to compositions comprising a member of the fibroblast growth factor family, FGF-CX (also known as CG53135-05 or FGF-20), its related polypeptides, nucleic acids encoding such polypeptides, and their uses for treating a condition, such as but is not limited to, stroke, would healing, and joint diseases (e.g., osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis).

  • Patent number: 4241541
Abstract: An operator for a casement-type window having an openable sash mounted adjacent one edge thereof for combined pivoting and linear movement of said sash edge relative to a window frame. The operator includes a first operator arm rotatable about a fixed axis and having an end adapted for movable engagement with the sash at a distance from said one edge of the sash to impart a rotational force to the sash, a second operator arm and a connecting link pivotally connected between said second operator arm and the sash adjacent said edge, and said second operator arm being pivotally mounted on the first operator arm, with there being intermeshing drive gears fixed one to each of said arms, with one gear being a drive gear and the other gear being a driven gear.
