  • Patent number: 11969537
Abstract: A medical waste fluid collection cart may include a container assembly and a suction tube having a lumen extending through the suction tube. The suction tube may communicate with the container to deposit waste fluid from a surgical site in the container. The container assembly may include a container, a base forming a bottom of the container, and a lid assembly. The base may include an interior surface defining a draining opening. The interior surface may extend along a ramped path toward the drain opening. The lid assembly may include a lid ring and a lid capable of engaging each other with a twist lock mechanism. The lid ring may engage the container and the lid may cover at least part of a central opening to the container. The container may have a window and a tinting assembly. The container assembly may have a vacuum level detection system.

  • Patent number: 9813914
Abstract: Granting interference rights to a secondary spectrum user that has a need for spectrum access to carry out wireless communications includes receiving a spectrum access request from the secondary user and determining a primary user that has a protected use area that overlaps with a secondary use area of the secondary user. A quantified predicted amount of interference that operation of the secondary user has on the primary channel of the primary user is determined and spectrum access to a primary channel of the primary user under interference rights is authorized if the quantified predicted amount of interference has less than a predetermined amount of effect on the primary channel of the primary user. The spectrum access is communicated to the secondary user.

  • Patent number: 9775189
Abstract: Systems and methods to reduce control data traffic between a hub radio device (e.g., a master white space device) and spoke radio devices (e.g., slave white space devices). Reduced are the number of control messages and/or the amount of data transmitted in control data messages. The hub radio device stores data regarding the spoke radio devices that register for white space access (e.g., specific spectrum access credentials) with a spectrum management server via the hub radio device. As long as conditions regarding a spoke radio device remain relatively unchanged, the stored data for the spoke radio device may be used to maintain the white space access through periodic renewal of the corresponding channel authorization with the spectrum management server.

  • Patent number: 9491633
Abstract: Managing spectrum use in a managed area where spectrum use is carried out by an incumbent user on an intermittent basis includes sensing spectrum use in the managed area and determining that the incumbent spectrum user is actively using spectrum in the managed area by analyzing sensor data. A spectrum use policy associated with characteristics of the determined spectrum use is made and one or more secondary spectrum users are notified that spectrum defined in the identified policy is unavailable for use by the one or more secondary users.

  • Patent number: 9491628
Abstract: Generic access credentials for use by a spoke radio device in communications with a hub radio device to acquire specific access credentials for the spoke radio device are determined by a spectrum management server to minimize the possibility of creating undesirable interference to other radio systems. The spectrum management server determines a coverage area of the hub radio device and determines sub-regions of the coverage area; determines a generic access transmit power limit for each sub-region of the coverage area for one or more channels on which the hub radio device has access rights to engage in wireless communications; and transmits the generic access transmit power level for each sub-region and channel combination to the hub radio device.

  • Patent number: 9445277
Abstract: A spectrum management server generates and an electronic device uses a channel map solution for a predetermined travel route of the electronic device. The channel map solution includes at least one available channel for each of the plural geographic areas through which the planned travel route passes. • Patent number: 9326257
Abstract: Systems and methods to facilitate acquisition of specific operating parameters by a spoke radio device via a hub radio device while the hub radio device operates using specific operating parameters and the spoke radio device operates using generic operating parameters. The spoke radio device may acquire the generic operating parameters from a beacon broadcast by the hub radio device. If a link between a hub radio device and a spoke radio device cannot be satisfactorily established and maintained using the specific and generic operating parameters, respectively, then the hub radio device may use alternative channels and/or reduce its operational area to attempt to converge specific and generic transmit power levels for improved link establishment.

  • Patent number: 9179322
Abstract: Allocating spectrum to a secondary radio device includes determining a contour separation distance for the secondary radio device. The contour separation distance is a function of a minimum separation distance from protected areas of primary radio devices and an accuracy variance for the secondary radio device. The accuracy variance is specified as a distance and is a function of accuracy information for a reported location of the secondary radio device. If a distance between a contour of a protected area for a primary radio device and the reported location for the secondary radio device is less than the contour separation distance, a channel used by the primary radio device is not available for use by the secondary radio device for wireless communications. Otherwise the channel used by the primary radio device is available for use by the secondary radio device for wireless communications.

  • Publication number: 20140215532
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a system and method for delivering media content to a wireless electronic device within a geographic coverage area associated with a venue. In some embodiments, a venue manager may identify media content to be broadcast within the geographic coverage area associated with the venue by the wireless TV transmitter; and send a media content request to a media server, the request instructing the media server to include the identified media content in a content feed sent to the wireless TV transmitter for broadcast in the geographic coverage area associated with the venue. In other embodiments, an interactive TV transmitter may identify media content to be broadcast within the geographic coverage area associated with the venue, multiplex the identified media content with other media content using a multiplexer, and broadcast the multiplex in the geographic coverage area associated with the venue.

  • Publication number: 20140141784
Abstract: A system for channel handover includes a mobile radio device and a server storing polygon operating area information for a plurality of overlapping polygon operating areas for wireless communication. The mobile radio device receives the polygon operating area information, and determines the device location. Based on the polygon operating area information, the mobile radio device selects a first channel of operation corresponding to a channel that is available for use within a first polygon operating area. The travel of the mobile radio device is tracked to determine when the mobile radio device has exited the first polygon operating area and entered a second polygon operating area. When this occurs, the device selects a second channel of operation corresponding to a channel that is available for use within the second polygon operating area. Alternatively, the channel selection may be determined by the server and transmitted to the mobile radio device.
