  • Patent number: 11582523
Abstract: A video-based competition platform supports video-based competitions between possibly geographically distributed competitors. The video-based competition platform enables users of electronic communication devices to create, compete, view, and vote in video-based competitions. In at least some embodiments, a video-based competition is presented to a user with two or more video clips played in conjunction. The video clips may be synchronized to a time base and/or common audio clip.
    Type: Grant

  • Publication number: 20130304541
Abstract: Disclosed herein are systems and methods for managing consumer demand in an online marketplace. In one aspect, a method for managing consumer initiated demand in an online marketplace comprises: receiving a first request for a product or service from a first consumer; identifying one of a plurality of categories as corresponding to the first request; assigning the first request to the identified category; receiving at least one additional request for a product or service from a second consumer and assigning the at least one additional request to the identified category; determining, using a processor, a demand for the identified category based at least on the number of requests assigned to the identified category; and selectively generating a merchant notification for at least one merchant based on the determined demand for the identified category.

  • Patent number: 7651065
Abstract: A storage system for inside a Sea-Land shipping container provides at least two hanging brackets, each bracket having a vertical beam with a hook at an upper end portion for releasable engagement with a lashing ring carried on a wall inside the Sea-Land shipping container to depend therefrom adjacent the wall. Supports extend forwardly outwardly from the hanging beams and are reinforced by braces communicating between the support and hanging beam. A squaring foot at a lower end portion of each hanging beam extends perpendicular thereto preventing axial rotation of the hanging beam. A vertical member at end portion of each support, opposite the hanging beam, prevents materials from falling off the support.

  • Publication number: 20030009425
Abstract: A controller for managing storage, duplication and distribution of digital content on physical media. An interface receives order messages comprising order data from a network, where each order message specifies content and specifies order preferences. Other order preferences and specifications may be predefined and known to the system. A duplicator in communication with the interface operates to place the order-specified content onto the physical media in accordance with the specified order preferences. A labeler places a label and identifying indicia on the data disk, where the indicia creates an association between the order data and the disk. At least one post-duplication process is automated using the order data accessed through the identifying indicia.

  • Patent number: 5883743
Abstract: A module, capable of being mounted on a printed circuit board, containing optical components necessary for optical correlation and a unique folded light path technique for conversion from a Vander Lugt optical correlator to a joint-transform optical correlator, or visa versa, with no electronic changes required. The folded optical path permits a polarizing filter to be positioned in the beam path reflected by a filter SLM but before a correlation detector means when the correlator is in a Vander Lugt mode and permits the polarizing filter to be removed, and an auxilliary mirror or other optical components positioned in the beam path to eliminate the filter SLM and to direct the beam path toward the correlation detector means when the optical correlator is to become a two-cycle joint-transform optical correlator and simultaneously match the Fourier transform plane to the detector plane of the detector means.

  • Patent number: 5659637
Abstract: A Vander Lugt optical correlator adapted to be mounted on a printed circuit board or other mounting means usable with or in a personal computer utilizing a monochromatic coherent polarized light source, a folded optical path with optics that perform light beam collimation and Fourier transformations, SLMs for scene and filter inputs and a CCD detector array at the correlation plane. The module may be of any selected configuration, such as, a parallelopiped, or a disc, either of which may be hollow, of solid opaque material for light paths formed therein, of a transparent media without passages, or of multiple sections for packaging shape, light path length compensation, component mounting etc. The circuit board may contain electronics required to operate all of the correlators electronic components.
