  • Patent number: 8576232
Abstract: According to one embodiment of the invention, a method for interfacing with a surface within a computer-aided drawing environment includes determining that a plurality of curves operable to define the surface constitute a P×1 surface condition. A P×1 surface condition is defined by a number of first curves equal to P and only one second curve. P is an integer greater than zero. The method also includes converting the P×1 surface condition into an N×M surface condition in response to determining that a plurality of curves constitute a P×1 surface condition. An N×M surface condition is defined by a number of third curves equal to N and a number of fourth curves equal to M. N and M are integers greater than one. The method also includes constructing an N×M surface under the N×M surface condition. The method also includes modifying the N×M surface to edit a drawing.

  • Publication number: 20020066219
Abstract: A method of using a stethoscope diaphragm or a stethoscope shield to display product promotional and other information, other than information identifying said stethoscope diaphragm or said stethoscope shield. A method of using a stethoscope shield to transfer images displayed thereon to human skin upon applying said shield to said skin. A method of using the surface of any medical device to display product promotional and other information, other than information identifying said medical device.

  • Patent number: 6009971
Abstract: A stethoscope shield unit comprising a plurality of substantially planar shield stacked one upon the other, each of the shields including a first surface having an adhesive applied thereto and a second surface such that adjacent shields adhere to one another with the first surface of each of these shields adhering to the second surface of an adjacent shield with a first shield of the plurality of shields being adhered to the diaphragm of the stethoscope for supporting the plurality of shields wherein an exposed shield of the plurality of shields is removed after contacting the body of a patient. A protective shield devoid of an adhesive may be positioned adjacent the first shield of the plurality of shields with the protective shield being removed prior to adhering the first shield of the stack to the diaphragm.

  • Patent number: 5060899
Abstract: This invention provides concealable cupholders (3, 5) with several beneficial aspects. Conveniently, the cupholders may be activated by actuating a push-to-release catch (24, 25) so that the cupholders move outwardly in a controlled manner from a housing with the appearance that it is being driven by an electric motor. The cupholders overlap one another in a compact manner within the housing. When moved out of the housing the cupholders may be maintained in the overlapping position such that they jointly support a single beverage or, alternatively a release mechanism (30) may be activated, by the use of, for example, a kick-out spring (10) to permit the secondary cupholder (5) to pivot to a position substantially disposed away from the primary cupholder (3) such that both cupholders may support different containers.
