Patent number: 11130105Abstract: A method and apparatus for obtaining a solution from a solid product in contact with a liquid is provided. A solid product is housed within a dispenser. A liquid is introduced into contact with the solid product. The solution formed between the solid product and the liquid is collected, and a makeup liquid can be added thereto to further dilute or control the concentration of the formed solution. The amount of makeup liquid added to the solution can be controlled based on the temperature of the liquid to provide an automatic, continuously variable amount of liquid added to the solution. In addition, a method of providing a pressure independent control of the makeup liquid is also provided.Type: GrantFiled: September 12, 2018Date of Patent: September 28, 2021Assignee: Ecolab USA Inc.Inventors: Ryan Joseph Drake, Andrew Max Schultz, Jessica Roseanne Tumini, Kevin Andrew Wuebben, Jeffrey Alan Blansit, Ariel Chatman Kleczewski

Patent number: 10413133Abstract: A backflow prevention assembly for global use with dispensers requiring a variety of backflow prevention devices based on regulatory standards is provided. The assembly includes a housing comprising first and second housing members and including quick connector attachments extending therefrom. The quick connector attachments are non-threaded members configured to be attached to the various measurement and types of connections found throughout the world. A cover is provided for venting purposes to reduce the backflow siphoning forces or pressure, which causes the backflow of a product chemistry. Furthermore, a backflow prevention device is configured to be fluidly coupled to the housing of the present invention to provide for one way flow and the prevention of backflow of a product chemistry into a water supply. The flow control may be selected based on the regulatory standards of the location used.Type: GrantFiled: August 29, 2016Date of Patent: September 17, 2019Assignee: Ecolab USA Inc.Inventors: Andrew Max Schultz, Ryan Jacob Urban, Brian Philip Carlson, Jay Anderson, Jeffrey Alan Blansit

Patent number: 8286831Abstract: A dispenser 10 creates a use solution. The dispenser 10 includes a diluent inlet for receiving a source of diluent. A first aspirator 38 is in fluid communication with the diluent inlet. An operator valve 27 controls flow of the diluent. A second aspirator 46 has a diluent inlet, diluent outlet and a venturi port. A vacuum switch 63 is operatively connected to the first venturi port and the flow of the diluent through the aspirator 46 creates a vacuum that activates the vacuum switch. A control board 69 is activated by the vacuum switch and a dosing pump 76 is activated by the control device 69. The dosing pump dispenses a liquid product into the diluent stream, wherein a use solution is made.Type: GrantFiled: September 18, 2009Date of Patent: October 16, 2012Assignee: Ecolab USA Inc.Inventors: Jeffrey Alan Blansit, Henry Louis Carbone, II, Aron David Dahlgren, Warren Dale Pannkuk
