  • Patent number: 8646198
Abstract: A container to receive goods to be held securely. The container includes a hollow body with walls, and a lid with walls. A security assembly extends between one of the walls and one of the walls to provide evidence of opening and/or tamper. The security assembly includes a pair of inserts between which a tag (seal) extends that is altered if a container is opened or tampered with.

  • Patent number: 8365356
Abstract: A carrier for a window sash having an actuatable friction adjuster. The friction adjuster has a carrier interface that interacts with a mating friction adjuster interface of the carrier such that the actuation of the friction adjuster by rotating it within an oblong slot in the carrier causes the carrier interface to interact with the friction adjuster interface and forces a rear portion of the friction adjuster into progressively increasing frictional contact with an adjacent portion of a window frame sash channel.

  • Patent number: 6149129
Abstract: A probe and a valve, which may be used together in a valve assemblage, and a method of using them. The valve includes a valve body with a forward end having a forwardly tapering valve body opening defined by a valve seat; a valve seal positioned in the valve body and having a forward end with a forwardly tapering valve seating portion, with the forward end being movable rearwardly from a closed position in which the seating portion sealingly mates against the valve seat to close the valve body opening, to an open position in which the valve seating portion is spaced from the valve seat to allow fluid to pass through the valve body opening and hence through the valve; and a resilient member adapted to urge the forward end of the valve seal into the closed position.

  • Patent number: 6079444
Abstract: A probe comprising of a probe body, a probe post positioned in the probe body and having a forward end with a forwardly tapering front face and a rearwardly tapering probe post seat. A probe seal is provided within the probe body having a forward end with a rearwardly tapering probe seal opening forward end of the probe seal has a seal face. The forward end is movable rearwardly from a closed position sealingly mating against the probe post seat to close the probe seal opening to an open position in which the probe seal face is spaced from the probe post seat to allow fluid to pass through the probe seal opening and hence through the probe. A first resilient means for urging the forward end of the probe seal into the closed position.

The probe has a body and a post having a forward end with a front face and a rearwardly tapering probe post seat. A resilient probe seal has a forward end with a rearwardly tapering probe seal opening, the forward end being movable between an open position and a closed position in which it mates against the probe post seat to close the probe seal opening. The valve has a body with a forward end having a forwardly tapering valve body opening defined by a valve seat. A valve seal in the valve body has a forward end with a forwardly tapering valve seating portion, which is movable between an open position and a closed position in which the seating portion sealingly mates against the valve seat. A resilient means urges the forward end of the valve seal into the closed position.

  • Patent number: 5854954
Abstract: Apparatus (10) for using light-sensitive web material includes a cassette chamber (12) which is closed by a closure (20) when a cassette (18) of the material has been installed. A single sensor (30, 32; 50-64) is provided to detect that the cassette is present, properly oriented and filled with the right material and that the closure is properly closed.

  • Patent number: 5826480
Abstract: A cassette (10) includes a sliding knife (52) having a slot (70) which slides past a driven pinion (72). Slot (70) includes a curved trailing edge (76) with a latch tooth (74) which engages and prevents rotation of the driven pinion when the knife has cut a web material extended from an exit slit (42) of the cassette and then closed the exit slit. Openings (86, 88) in a knife cover (56) permit external access to the knife and driven pinion.
