    Abstract: An implantable medical device having a case with therapeutic componentry contained with the case. A module has a rail around at least a portion of a perimeter of the module and is adapted to be mechanically secured to the case. The case has a rigid fastening channel adapted to receive the rail of the module. The rigid fastening channel has an opening allowing the rail of the module to drop into the rigid fastening channel through the opening and then slide along the rigid fastening channel to be mechanically secured to the case.

    Abstract: A connector assembly for detachably coupling a proximal end of a lead and an implantable medical device. The connector assembly includes a deflectable connector clip having a first arm, a second arm and a top portion extending between the first arm and the second arm. The first arm and the second arm detachably position the proximal end of the lead within the implantable medical device. A housing portion has a first deflection portion that deflects the connector clip from a first position corresponding to a first distance between the first arm and the second arm, to a second position corresponding to a second distance between the first arm and the second arm. Subsequent advancement of the lead through the first and second arms further deflects the connector clip from the second position to a third position, which transfers all of the spring force of the connector clip to the lead.

    Abstract: A trunnion support for a variable-position stator vane in a turbomachine. The stator vane includes an upper trunnion and a lower trunnion to allow the stator vane to be pivoted about a longitudinal axis. The lower trunnion is supported in a bushing that is carried in an opening provided in an annular stator vane carrier ring. The bushing is longitudinally split and is installed in the carrier ring while in a laterally compressed condition so that when installed in the carrier ring the bushing bears against the carrier ring opening in which it is positioned. When the carrier ring material expands with rising temperature, the pre-stress in the bushing will cause it to expand to maintain tight frictional engagement between the bushing and the opening and thereby prevent relative rotation between the bushing and the carrier ring to minimize wear of the carrier ring material.

A plurality of circumferentially spaced apart circular arc dovetail slots are disposed through the rim. Circumferentially extending annular burst slots extend radially through the rim into the dovetail slots between each adjacent pair of the webs. The fan blades have circular arc dovetail roots disposed within the circumferentially spaced apart circular arc dovetail slots. A one piece spinner attached to a forward extension of the disk at a location between a tip and an axially aft spinner end of the spinner. Non-integral platforms circumferentially disposed between the fan blades. A booster spool is connected to the rotor disk by a mounting plate therebetween and the platforms are radially retained to the disk and mounting plates by pins through holes in mounting lugs depending radially inwardly from the platforms.

    Abstract: An exemplary embodiment of the invention is a spinner for a front end of a fan assembly of a gas turbine engine. The spinner includes a single piece substantially conically shaped hollow body circumscribed about a centerline extending aftwardly from a tip to an axially aft spinner end. A plurality of bolt holes extend axially parallel to the centerline through the hollow body at an axial location between the tip and the aft spinner end. The hollow body may include a forward conical section extending aftwardly from the tip to a transition section, an aft conical section extending aftwardly from the transition section to the aft spinner end, and the bolt holes are axially located in the transition section. An aft spinner flange attached to the axially aft spinner end includes a plurality of flange lightening holes axially disposed through the aft spinner flange and the flange lightening holes.
