  • Publication number: 20020145297
Abstract: A slipsheet and a drawbar device to allow for repositioning of a load on the slipsheet that has a rigid base plate, one or more second plates attached to the rigid base plate. The second plate(s) act as a surface to apply pressure to the slipsheet. A mechanical attachment device is located between the plates allowing enough clearance such that the slipsheet can be slid between the plates. A means of releasing pressure on the mechanical attachment device from a locked position and a ring device mounted on the base plate near the rear as a means of applying a pulling force to the combination slipsheet and drawbar device.

  • Patent number: 6120238
Abstract: A drawbar device that facilitates engagement to, maneuvering of, and disegement from a loaded slipsheet includes a top plate, base plate, and roller for frictionally engaging a slipsheet tab, a means for disengaging the roller therefrom, and a connecting means for transmitting to the base plate the force necessary for maneuvering the loaded slipsheet. The present invention advantageously facilitates the movement of heavy supplies and material in the absence of conventional mechanized material handling equipment.

  • Patent number: 5165137
Abstract: The invention is an improved head support stand used to smoothly and accuely position a patient's head when imaging the patient's upper spinal area. The improved stand includes a compound turnbuckle mounted between a base of the stand and a head cradle or face plate mounted to the base. The compound turnbuckle includes two rods threadingly engaged to a turnbuckle body so that the rods translate with respect to the body when it rotates. When the compound turnbuckle is in a fully retracted position, the rods are in a telescoped configuration within the turnbuckle body. When the compound turnbuckle is in a fully extended position, the rods are axially remote from each other and project substantially all the way out of the turnbuckle body.
