  • Patent number: 9939073
Abstract: A vent apparatus is described for providing filtered air intake and rollover protection for a fuel tank. The apparatus may include a housing configured to be coupled with the fuel tank, the housing including at least one air intake port and at least one air exhaust port. The apparatus may include an air intake filter disposed within the housing and configured to receive and filter air from the at least one air intake port. The apparatus may include a rollover protection valve disposed adjacent to the housing and configured to be located inside the fuel tank when the housing is coupled with the fuel tank, the rollover protection valve coupled with the at least one air exhaust port. The rollover protection valve may include a chamber and a plug configured to impede the flow of fuel from the fuel tank into the at least one air exhaust port.

  • Patent number: 9366359
Abstract: A float valve apparatus is provided for regulating the level of fluid within a tank. The apparatus may include a housing having one or more inlet ports and an outlet port that are each fluidly connected via a channel disposed within the housing. A float disposed within the housing may move relative to the housing between a first position and a second position when a fluid level in the tank reaches a preset level. A shaft may extend from the float into a chamber, and as the float moves from the first position to the second position, fluid may enter a chamber and bias the float further upward. In some examples, the shaft is further configured to increasingly obstruct the flow of fluid in the channel as the float moves from the first position to the second position.

  • Patent number: 7891373
Abstract: Systems and apparatus for controlling the flow of fluid into a tank, such as a fuel tank on heavy equipment. An inlet valve includes a head portion for making connection with a nozzle, a receiver attached thereto and a piston which closes against a face in the head portion. A float valve includes a float and a valve which seals when a predetermined fluid level is reached. A bleed line is used to connect the receiver to the float valve. The unique design allows placement of the float valve at any desired height within the tank, and placement of the bleed line inside or outside of the tank as may be desired for the application.
