  • Publication number: 20210340586
Abstract: This disclosure provides a method of producing full-length antibodies in E. coli with a yield of at least about 200 mg/L. The E. coli cells typically have an oxidative cytoplasm, which is helpful for maintaining the three-dimensional structure and stability of proteins having disulfide bonds. In some cases, the molar ratio of the produced HC and LC amount from culturing the E. coli ranges from about 1:1 to about 1:3 (e.g., from about 1:1 to about 1:2.5, from about 1:1 to about 1:2).

  • Patent number: 10408543
Abstract: A liquid to refrigerant heat exchanger is provided having a stack of nested plates with fluid flow passages defined between the plates. The stack includes a condenser portion and a subcooler portion. A base plate at a bottom end of the stack has a refrigerant outlet port and a receiver bottle joined to it. A receiver flow path extends through a structural connection joining the receiver bottle to the base plate to allow for fluid flow between an internal volume of the receiver bottle and the condenser portion. Another receiver flow path extends through another structural connection to allow for fluid flow between an internal volume of the receiver bottle and the subcooler portion.

  • Patent number: 9562738
Abstract: In a spring piston airgun, a compression piston is provided for longitudinal translation within a compression tube in response to a motive force. The compression piston includes a main piston body and a piston head, wherein the piston body and piston head are coupled for partial independent translation along a longitudinal axis. A resilient compressible bushing is longitudinally intermediate a portion of the piston body and the piston head, such that upon a deceleration of the piston head, the piston body is not immediately acted upon by the deceleration, rather the bushing absorbs a portion of the deceleration and radially expands to contact the compression tube.

  • Publication number: 20140193276
Abstract: A hand operated reciprocating multistage pump has an upstream stage and a downstream stage, each stage having a compression chamber. A regulating valve controls a mass of compressed air passing from the upstream stage to the downstream stage. By controlling the mass of compressed air passing to the downstream stage, the required force to operate the compression chamber of the downstream stage can be controlled. A sorbent cartridge can be located between the upstream stage and the downstream stage, such that the partially compressed air passes through a sorbent such as a desiccant before being compressed in the compression chamber of the downstream stage.
