    Abstract: The present invention provides a method and system for teaching a language to a user. An index with expression records is accessed. Each expression record has at least one image search expression. One of the expression records in the index is examined to identify at least one image search expression for the examined record. A translated expression is acquired. At least one image associated with each identified image search expression is sought. The translated expression and at least one of the images are displayed to the user.
