Abstract: A computer system is configured to monitor and analyze the use of a client device by a minor and compute a risk for that minor. Examples of client devices include personal computers, laptops, cellular phones, “smart phones”, and other personal electronic devices. The analysis includes receiving text blocks from the client, processing the text block to discover “hit strings”, compute risk scores for the hit strings, and then to compute an overall risk score for the minor. A hit string is a string of characters such as a word or phrase that is indicative of a risk to the minor such as depression, “cyber bullying”, or an “adult predator”.

Abstract: A system and method for protecting minors from various threats including adult predators is provided. The system and method include an integrated protection service system having monitoring and analysis functions. The system is configured to automatically monitor a reporting source that provides an input indicative of potential risks to the minor. The system is also configured to automatically analyze the input to determine a risk profile for the minor.

Abstract: An integrated system configured to provide a safe environment for a minor is described. The system includes a training segment, a set-up segment, and a consulting segment. The training segment is configured to train parents and/or guardians of minors about dangers including those involving the internet. The set-up system is configured to help the parents or guardians establish tracking of the minor's internet activity. The consulting segment is configured to providing initial and ongoing consulting regarding particular threats or concerns associated with safety of the minor.
