  • Publication number: 20230405200
Abstract: Methods and systems for delivering gas-enriched blood within a vasculature of a patient may include providing a gas-enrichment system, the gas-enrichment system comprising a mixing chamber and a blood pump. The process may include inserting a catheter for drawing blood from the patient into a radial artery of the patient. The process may include drawing blood from the radial artery or from a vessel upstream of the radial artery at a blood flow rate without collapsing the artery or vessel to a degree that would substantially impede drawing blood. The process may include generating a gas-enriched blood by mixing the withdrawn blood with a gas-enriched liquid in a mixing chamber. The process may include delivering the gas-enriched blood to the vasculature of the patient.

  • Publication number: 20230099024
Abstract: The present disclosure provides systems and methods for controlling gas enrichment therapy. One or more sensors is used to measure one or more physiological parameters, e.g., blood or tissue oxygen parameters, of the patient. A processor is used to generate based on the measured parameters an alert through a user interface indicating a value or level of the measured physiological parameter, which is indicative of an effectiveness of the gas enrichment therapy.

  • Publication number: 20220313885
Abstract: A system delivers gas-enriched blood or liquid within the vasculature of a patient while partially obstructing a flow of blood within the vasculature of the patient. The system may include a first catheter configured for inserting into a vasculature of a patient to deliver gas-enriched blood or liquid to a region of the vasculature of the patient. The system may include a second catheter configured for inserting into the vasculature of the patient. The second catheter includes lumens and an occlusion structure configured to partially obstruct a flow of blood within the vasculature of the patient while allowing the first catheter to deliver the gas-enriched blood or liquid to the region of the vasculature, and to divert the blood flow to the region where the gas-enriched blood or liquid is delivered.

  • Patent number: 10605394
Abstract: A pipe fitting for plain end pipe is formed of housing portions defining receptacles for receiving pipe elements. The receptacles are coaxial with respective axes oriented angularly with respect to each other. Each receptacle has a channel that faces a respective axis with floors at different radii of curvature. Retainers are received within the channels. The retainers have teeth and one or more offset tabs that cooperate with the channels to prevent improper assembly of the fitting. Ring seals are received within channels positioned adjacent to the receptacles. The ring seals cooperate with the retainers to hold the segments in spaced relation sufficient to insert pipe elements into the receptacles when the fitting is pre-assembled. Apertures are provided in the receptacles to permit visual determination of the presence of the retainers post assembly.

  • Publication number: 20080233623
Abstract: The present invention provides genetically modified host cells that exhibit modified activity levels of one or more gene products such that, when a cytochrome P450 enzyme is produced in the genetically modified host cell, the modified activity levels of the one or more gene products provide for enhanced production and/or activity of the cytochrome P450 enzyme. The present invention provides methods of producing a cytochrome P450 enzyme in a host cell, generally involving culturing a subject genetically modified host cell in a suitable culture medium. The present invention further provides methods of producing a product of a P450-dependent oxidation, generally involving culturing a subject genetically modified host cell in a suitable culture medium.

  • Publication number: 20030202897
Abstract: A powder injection molding process for making hard to make parts having internal cavities and hard to make parts made by the process. Metal powders having a variety of shapes and sizes are mixed with binder to make a feedstock. The feedstock is molded into at least two raw molded parts which are then sintered to join the parts together to form the hard to make part. This process eliminates all secondary operations in parts having internal cavities where core withdrawal is not possible. In preferred embodiment two raw parts are joined together during the sintering step without adding any materials to assist the bonding. This methodology can be used to make assemblies that have complex internal cavities such as filter sections and wave-guide components that are a low cost critical solution for the communications industry.

  • Patent number: 4942362
Abstract: An analyzation apparatus for ignition systems that has a pulse detector circuit that generates and converts an AC signal into a DC signal, filters unwanted signals and allows the user to adjust the amplitude of the signal to accommodate differing ignition systems. A pulse stretching circuit is included to increase the duration of the signal and an analog driver circuit is included to convert the signal received by it to a linear voltage suitable for driving two LED display circuits. The LED circuits are connected in parallel with the driver circuit and the visual display of the LED circuits show a display proportional to the amplitude of the signal received from the driver circuit. The LED displays show the amplitude of the signal. The LED circuits have diodes the prevent current flow between adjacent LED's of the adjacent LED circuits. The apparatus includes a function switch to select the LED circuit desired and to interrupt power to the apparatus. A portion of the elements are enclosed in a case.
