  • Patent number: 8872030
Abstract: A cable management system for a patch panel component having a connectivity interface configured to connect with cables includes a cable support plate and two cable support brackets. Each cable support bracket includes a support bar, a first bracket and a second bracket. A fastener hingedly attaches the first bracket to the second bracket and is positioned to slideably mount the first and second brackets to the support bar. The first and second brackets include mounting plates that move toward and away from one another when sliding the cable support brackets. The brackets mount to opposed projecting pins on a patch panel. The fastener holds each cable support bracket in the desired position.

  • Patent number: 8057249
Abstract: An electrical connector includes a mating end having a plug interface. The mating end has a retaining surface defined around the plug interface. At least one retention feature is provided on the retaining surface. A cap is provided having a plurality of sides and a front face. An opening extends through the front face. The cap is mounted to the mating end so that at least one of the plurality of sides of the cap engages the at least one retention feature to secure the cap to the mating end. The plug interface is accessible through the opening in the cap. The electrical connector is configured to be rear mounted to a panel so that the plug interface is accessible through an opening in the panel and the front face of the cap is capable of positioning flush with a front face of the panel.

  • Patent number: 8018725
Abstract: A cable management system includes a patch panel having a rear connectivity interface configured to connect with cables, and a cable support bracket. The cable support bracket includes a cable support plate configured to support the cables connected to the rear connectivity interface, an arm extending from the cable support plate, and a bias mechanism. The arm includes at least one arm portion mounted to the patch panel and a locking finger movable with respect to the arm portion. The bias mechanism operatively engages the arm portion and the locking finger and is configured to move the locking finger between a biased position and a released position.
