  • Patent number: 11992936
Abstract: A surgical system uses a single entry port in a wide variety of surgeries. To insert multiple surgical instruments into a patient through a single entry port requires that the shaft of at least one of the surgical instruments be bent between the base of the surgical instrument and the point where the shaft contacts a channel in an entry guide. Each surgical instrument is positioned by an instrument manipulator positioning system so that when the shaft is inserted in a channel of the entry guide, any bending of the shaft does not damage the surgical instrument and does not inhibit proper operation of the surgical instrument.

  • Publication number: 20240103287
Abstract: A removable facial interface for a head-mountable device (HMD) is disclosed. In an example, an HMD includes a display; a facial interface frame at least partially surrounding the display; a removable facial interface attached to the facial interface frame; a first attachment mechanism attached to one of the facial interface frame or the removable facial interface; and a second attachment mechanism attached to the other of the facial interface frame or the removable facial interface, the removable facial interface being attached to the facial interface frame by the first attachment mechanism and the second attachment mechanism.

  • Patent number: 5375557
Abstract: An apparatus (10) and method are provided for directly viewing, through a viewport assembly (26), the process for forming a layer of mercury cadmium telluride of a predetermined composition on a surface of a wafer (not shown). According to the invention, a molten melt (20) comprising mercury, cadmium and tellurium is provided in a vertically oriented crystal growth chamber (14), which, in turn, is housed in a reactor tube (12). A wafer (not shown) is contacted with the crystal growth melt while cooling the melt below its liquidus temperature at a predetermined rate sufficient to cause a crystal growth layer of mercury cadmium telluride to form on the wafer (not shown). Viewports (26, 48) located approximately radially adjacent to the melt (22) provide direct see through capability to visually monitor the crystal growth process.

  • Patent number: 5096049
Abstract: An apparatus including a plurality of spaced "C" shaped tracks are mounted upon a support surface adjacent a dwelling, the tracks are fixedly secured within spaced underlying "U" shaped supports to rigidly secure the tracks in position. A medially positioned channel member includes an endless chain loop rotatably mounted therewithin, the chain loop includes an upper and lower flight rotatably mounted within the channel member, including sprockets at each end thereof, with a rear drive sprocket mounted for selective forward and reverse movement of a platform secured to the chain conveyor to permit ease of transport of refuse containers from the dwelling to an orientation forwardly of the dwelling.

  • Patent number: RE49947
Abstract: A system for supplying hydrogen gas to a lighter-than-air (LTA) vehicle includes a manifold having multiple vessels. Each vessel has a first chamber that is separated from a second chamber by a barrier. A trigger assembly integrated with the barrier allows a liquid to be combined with a reactant and a catalyst in the second chamber to form a chemical reaction to generate hydrogen gas. A pressure relief valve located on each vessel opens to allow the hydrogen gas to exit when a predetermined pressure is reached, and the hydrogen gas is supplied to the LTA vehicle connected to the manifold.
