  • Publication number: 20090083919
Abstract: A vibrating hair brush provides enhanced detangling of user's hair. The brush has a bristle pad comprising a plurality of bristles disposed in a brush head. The bristle pad is supported within the brush head by a vibrating motor and isolator assembly disposed for directing a vibratory movement of the motor to a bristle pad movement in a plane generally parallel to a user's scalp. The motor and isolator assembly effectively translate a circular vibratory movement of the offset weight into an elliptical movement of the bristle pad while insulating the vibration caused by the movement of the weight from a handle of the brush.

  • Publication number: 20090050673
Abstract: The present application discloses a fixture-free, hands-free soldering apparatus having a base support assembly and a solder assembly. The base support assembly has a base member supporting a power supply and an electronic temperature, time and speed control system, and an actuator for remotely actuating the solder assembly without the use of the operator's hands or fixtures. The solder assembly is supported on the base member by vertically movable support arms. A main body supports a spool of solder, a solder feed mechanism operated by the actuator and a solder mechanism having adjustable operating temperature, speed and position. The main body and adjustable solder mechanism of the solder assembly adjust the angle and position of the solder being fed by the solder feed mechanism and an adjustable solder head supporting a concave solder tip. In addition to vertical movement, the main body is rotatable by about 60 degrees with respect to a central horizontal plane along the main body.

  • Publication number: 20080093167
Abstract: A step stool nestable for stacking is formed vertically tapered with the smaller end closed to form a horizontal stepping surface. The interior of the shell has attachment surfaces faces upon which the casters are attached for use. Initially the casters are mounted on the undersurface of the closed end to permit stacking of the stools for bulk transport or shipment in quantities. Upon separating the stools in the stack, the user removes the platform and casters from the undersurface of the closed end and attaches them to attachment surfaces in the shell. In the disclosed embodiment a platform member is attached to the shell and the casters mounted on the platform member. In the disclosed embodiment, the casters and platform member are enclosed in a container and releasably secured to the undersurface of the closed end of the shell for stacking.
