  • Publication number: 20240126804
Abstract: A method at a client device includes displaying media library information corresponding to a set of media items. The media items include one or more local media items, the one or more local media items including media items stored at the client device, and one or more remote media items, the one or more remote media items including media items stored at a remote system and not at the client device. The method also includes displaying, concurrently with displaying the media library information, affordances identifying the remote media items; detecting user interaction with an affordance identifying a respective remote media item; and in response to detecting the user interaction, initiating a process for downloading a copy of the respective remote media item to the client device for storage at the client device.

  • Patent number: 6068082
Abstract: A loose packing material for the muffler of an internal combustion engine is confined by a mesh, for handling the loose packing as a unit during assembly of the muffler. The openwork nature of the mesh is such that the mesh does not affect the sound or tune of the muffler, such that the original sound of the muffler is the same as its long term sound. The mesh can comprise fiberglass or metal mesh, but preferably includes a heat consumable material such as a thermoplastic polymer. The mesh can be formed as a wholly or partly closed bag with a shape complementary to a muffler cavity, which can be irregular. The heat consumable type of bag is formed by heat sealed seams. The mesh holds the loose packing material clear of peripheral seams or internal points at which structural parts of the muffler are intended to abut. The confined packing and its methods are particularly apt for stamped plate mufflers and are likewise applicable to other forms such as rolled casing and extruded casing muffler structures.

  • Patent number: 6053276
Abstract: A loose fiber packing material for a muffler of an internal combustion engine is temporarily confined in a transfer cartridge, having a shape which is substantially complementary or somewhat smaller than the muffler cavity. The transfer cartridge is adapted to receive a pushing device for discharging the loose fiber packing material from the transfer cartridge into the muffler cavity during manufacture of the muffler. The transfer cartridge allows loose fiber packing to be prepacked, shipped and directly transferred to a muffler cavity without the use of molding resins or packaging materials which would otherwise be inserted into the muffler along with the loose fiber packing material and burned away during initial use of the muffler, causing undesirable smoke and odor.
