  • Publication number: 20240114478
Abstract: A facility for testing location determination for emergency calls is described. Software on a mobile device collects a GPS location from the mobile device, and places an emergency call that encloses information usable by the emergency call processing system to calculate mobile device location. After the system performs this calculation, the call is detected to be a testing call and routed to a computer rather than an emergency dispatcher. The computer sends an SMS or other non-telephony message to the mobile device containing the calculated location. The mobile device stores the collected GPS location and the calculated location received in the non-telephony message together for comparison.

  • Publication number: 20230283686
Abstract: Various embodiments of systems, apparatus, and/or methods are described for restricting user devices from accessing a communication network. In one implementation, multiple user devices are assigned to a user profile. At least one access parameter is designated for the user profile. An access device monitors data usage, time usage, and content usage of each of the devices associated with the user profile. In some examples, the access device may consolidate the data usage and time usage of all of the devices. If one or more of the consolidated data usage, consolidated time usage, or content usage violates the access parameter of the user profile, the access device restricts at least one of the multiple user devices from accessing the communication network.

  • Patent number: 11636183
Abstract: Motion pictures or other digital media content can be encoded with visible, yet obscured, digital codes that can be optically detected by a camera or other automated image processing device. If a code is recognized in captured media content, further capture, playback and/or distribution can be halted, as desired. Because the code is visible (albeit hidden) in the digital imagery itself, capture by another camera or other optical device will not typically negate the usefulness of the code. That is, the code is visibly present within the imagery itself, so subsequent capture of the video imagery will also capture the code, thereby allowing for detection and/or prevention.

  • Patent number: 11539116
Abstract: Various cellular plate assemblies are described. A plate may be present having a first side and a second side. Port connectors can be arranged on the first side of the radio plate. Each port connector is configured to be connected with a different port of a cellular radio or cellular antenna system. Cable ports can arranged on the second side of the radio plate. Each cable port can be connected with a corresponding radio port connector of the plurality of radio port connectors. Further, each cable port is keyed differently such that only a particular keyed cable assembly can be mated with the cable port.

  • Patent number: 11387612
Abstract: Various cellular tower plate connection systems are detailed herein. Such systems can include an antenna plate assembly. This assembly can include an antenna plate and antenna port connectors attached to a first side of the antenna plate. Cable connectors may be present that are attached to a second side of the antenna plate opposite the first side of the antenna plate. The assembly can include a first attachment mechanism that secures antenna port connectors to antenna ports of an antenna system. The antenna port connectors may be arranged on the first side of the antenna plate such that the antenna port connectors mate with the antenna ports of the antenna system in a single possible orientation.

  • Publication number: 20220030050
Abstract: Systems and methods for utilizing distributed computing and storage resources intelligently select processing and/or storage resources of cell sites, data centers and/or other computing nodes and tap into these available processing and data storage resources to harness these resources on behalf of other remote devices to increase the amount of computing and storage data resources to perform tasks and store data for various services. The system predicts demand and usage and dynamically selects and adjusts utilization of computing resources to meet the demand and utilize otherwise idle systems. To improve latency and reduce network congestion by avoiding adding network traffic over longer and more complex routes, the system provides resources to particular remote devices based on the geographic proximity of the computing node to the particular remote device requesting the resources.

  • Publication number: 20210313073
Abstract: Novel techniques are described for network tracking of contagion propagation through host populations. For example, location information of networked devices can be tracked and stored to generate contact profiles of individuals with respect to other individuals in the population. One or more contagion profiles can also be stored in association with respective one or more pathogens to identify propagation characteristics of the pathogen. Responsive to an individual being diagnosed as an infected individual with respect to a particular contagious pathogen, a propagation model can automatically be generated for the infected individual based on the contagion profile of the particular contagious pathogen and the contact profile of the infected individual. The propagation model can be used to identify one or more suspect populations as having at least a threshold likelihood of having been infected by the infected individual.

  • Patent number: 11006154
Abstract: Systems, devices and automated processes augment television broadcasts with digital content that automatically replaces static portions of the captured imagery. In a video broadcast of a live event, for example, signs or other advertisements that are physically present in the event venue can be automatically replaced in television broadcasts of the event by virtual imagery of other signs or objects, as desired.

  • Patent number: 10057407
Abstract: Various arrangements for restricting mobile device usage are presented. A mobile device may collect movement and location sensor data. An in-vehicle mobile device usage profile may be created based on the sensor data and the collected user interaction data. The in-vehicle mobile device usage profile may be analyzed to determine that a user of the mobile device is currently an operator of the moving vehicle. In response to determining that the user of the mobile device is currently the operator of the moving vehicle, access to one or more functions of the mobile device may be restricted.
